The Tide of Love (Jinora and Kai)

Realization

Jinora woke up and remembered what had happened. 

Kim, Jinora thought darkly. She remembered that Kai and the rest of Republic City were in danger.

How am I supposed to tell them that its a trap? I can't even untie myself. Much less walk out of this room! 

Suddenly, Jinora was hit with an idea (A/n, that sounds really dumb, but, whatever!) 

I can spirit project to Kai! Jinora thought hopefully. Jinora knew that there was a slight chance that she wouldn't reach him because of all the stress he must be going through.

But if I can get him to answer that there might be a bit of hope!

With that thought, Jinora closed her eyes and focused on Kai.

(WITH KAI)

Kai was looking for any clues that might help find Jinora, he was walking down the street when he ran into a certain someone.

"Kai!" Kim exclaimed running up to him.

"Hi Kim," Kai said sadly.

"Why the sad face?" Kim asked curiously. 

"Jinora was taken by terrorists, and we can't find her." Kai said in a exasperated tone.

"Well good for her, that piece of arrow trash shouldn't even be alive!" Kim announced.

"Kim! Jinora is a wonderful person! I can't live without her in my life!" Kai snapped. 

"Honestly, I did a favor taking her out of it. Now you can be with me! And we can rule Republic City and kill anyone who's in our way. Jinora will be killed in three days any way by the assassins I hired!" Kim said, then her eyes widened once she realized that she had slipped up the information. 

"Its you! Get out of my way, I need to save my girlfriend." Kai hissed and took off into the air calling for Lefty. 

Once  Kai had gotten onto Lefty and he was high up in the air he sighed. Just when he thought he couldn't get more surprised, Jinora appeared in front of him. 

"Kai!" Jinora exclaimed. Kai looked at her. There was dry blood on her cheek and on some parts of her body.

"Jinora!" Kai said. "What did Kim do to you?!" 

"That doesn't matter." Jinora said, suddenly serious. "Go to my father and tell him to call off the search party."

"NO!" Kai shouted. But Jinora ignored him.

"You have to leave me here. It's better if I get killed and you have time to prepare defenses then me surviving but then everyone else dying. Listen to me Kai. I love you, and this is why I am doing this. Go tell my father to stop searching, don't come after me, its a trap. Don't give Kim the other terrorists. Just go call of the search party. If you die so will I. Kai, there coming." 

"Jinora, I can't lose you! I am going to get you out!"Kai yelled. Tears pouring down his cheeks.

" You can't! I love the air nation more then I love myself! I can't offered getting them killed. They are going to come, and you can defend them." Jinora said, also crying. 

"Jinora! Don't! I am not going to lose you!" Kai sobbed.

"Kai," Jinora said. Her expression softening. Jinora's blue hand touched Kai's cheek. "Don't cry, got tell them what I told you. Remember, I am doing this because I love my people and because I love you. Now go! Kim is coming to my dungeon. Good Bye Kai, I love you." Jinora whispered.     

"I love you to Jinora," Kai whispered back. With that, Jinora vanished.

Kai sat there, in shock of what had just happened. 

"I will get her out. I won't lose her like I lost my parents." Kai promised himself. He flew Lefty to the air temple and went to get Tenzin. He told Tenzin what Jinora had told him.

"Well, we aren't going to lose her, that's for sure." Tenzin said gravely. "But we might have to be stealthier about or search. You say she was in a dungeon? Then that means she must be in the mountains. Republic City only contains dungeons in the mountains." Tenzin was about to say more when an air acolyte ran in, she was holding a piece of paper in one hand and had the other over her mouth. Kai snached the paper out of her hands and read out loud. 

"Tenzin, 

We are moving the execution date till next week to give you more time to do our next order. You must take all the air benders and move them out of Republic City, You will do this or the girl dies. We have used her blood to sign this note. The air benders should be exterminated from our world. Remember, we have the higher ground. 

Terrorists" Kai finished. He and Tenzin had paled so much that it was a surprise that there faces weren't made of paper.

"What do we do now?" Kai asked.

"We get the forces of Republic City, we storm the mountains and get Jinora. This Kim you speak of has left the city and is in the mountains." Tenzin said with a sigh. He dismissed Kai and went to go inform the rest of the air benders about the news. Kai went to his room and looked at a picture of him and Jinora. They looked so happy.

"Never again, Jinora, never again will harm come in you way once we get you back. You won't have to live in the world fearing it. You will always have me. Always. " Kai promised. He got into the bed and shut his eyes.
