Kai flew up, the airbenders ran towards the bisons. Jinora glanced up at Kai, he had managed to distract the combustion bender to let them pass through. But she noticed the airbenders. She bombed the bison stables.
All hope was lost.
Jinora looked up just in time to see Kai being hit.
He was falling.
His eyes were closed.
He was bleeding.
"NO! KAI!" Jinora sobbed.
Tears poured down her face.
( 2 hours later)
The airbenders were saved by the new Gaang. Jinora was unchaining herself when Asami said.
"Jinora, there is someone you might want to see."
Asami stepped aside to reveal.....
Kai!
Jinora ran towards Kai and threw her arms around his neck.
"I thought I lost you," Jinora whispered.
"Never. It takes a little more then a fall to take down the all mighty Kai." Kai whispered back.
(5 hours later)
"Jinora, one of the airbenders has been hurt. We don't know who it is. But they are one deaths door. We need to get them to Katara!" One of the acolytes yelled.
A boy was brought in on a stretcher.
Jinora realized who it was.
Kai.
"We are going to get you through this." Jinora cried.
She rushed him to Katara.
"I am so sorry." Katara whispered.
"He's gone."
"NO!"
Jinora screamed.
She bolted up right in her bed.
She was covered in tears and sweat.
Jinora had no idea when Kai had woken up, but she was already scooped up in his arms.
Jinora wrapped her arms around him and sobbed into his chest.
"Y-You w-were g-gone and I-i h-hadn't d-done a-anything." Jinora sobbed.
"Never, it takes a lot to take down the all mighty Kai," Kai whispered.
They both lay down in Jinora's bed. Jinora snuggled up into Kai's chest.
Kai chuckled and kissed her forehead.
All the nightmares were replaced by sweet dreams of the sweet couple in each others arms.
