Jerikah stood atop the stone wall. "You may continue your fighting." The Members of Project Phoenix cheered. "But I warn you. A devil had been released here today. You can fight. But you will not win." She smiled.

John blew a hole in the wall and stepped through.

"Its the Aura Pillar! Get him!" Someone yelled. A group charged John who stood his ground and didn't move. Suddenly a violent explosion pushed the small group into the air and onto their backs. John stepped forward. Swords in hand. What came next could only be described as a meat grinder.

Seeing as John no longer obeyed the laws of the physical universe he was everywhere and yet nowhere. He could control time, shoot powerful beams of pure energy and could create weapons at will.

He was a man even the devil didn't want to mess with. Or rather he was the  very devil God himself was afraid of.

The air filled the screams of agony and the stench of blood. John cut down anyone and everyone who stood against him. High tiers were as weak as low tiers.

"What the hell is he?" One if Jerikah's allies said in shock.

"He's a monster." Another said.

"No. He's John Doe. And he is the strongest person you will ever meet."

"Stonger then you?" Someone asked.

"You see what he is doing? Turning people into paste? Yeah. He is stronger then me."

In minutes the entity of Project Phoenix's army was in ruins. No one escaped John wrathe.

He slowly began to walk back towards Jerikah and the rest of the group. Jerikah was the only one who stood to meet him. Everyone else huddled together, fearing for their lives.

"You trust them?" John said coldly eyeing the group of Jerikah's loyalists.

"Yeah. I trust them." Jerikah said.

John sighed and dropped the bloody swords. His school uniform was dripping bright red blood, but none of it was his. "You're the boss now. What we do is your call." He said powering down. He walked over to Sera and gave her a hug. "I'm sorry you had to see that " He whispered.

Sera immediately hugged him back. "Promise me I wont have to see it again."

"I can't promise you that, but I can promise that if you do, it will be someone who stands in my way. In our way on the receiving end."

"Now now John," Jerikah said. "Lets not forget the mission."

"Project Phoenix must fail." John said turning to face her.

"Uh, ma'am, if I may," Cathy spoke up. "This is the opportunity we needed. The pillars lay defeated, and those that remain are on our side."

"CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS FUCKING SHIT?!" Taz shouted. "Why must project Phoenix fail? What the hell even is it? And what the fuck are they doing with all these 'pillars'?"

"I suppose I should explain that." Jerikah said. "No matter what you have heard there are only 10 pillars. And there are six present here." She paused. "Myself, John, Sera, Cathy, Kyle, and Shannon." She looked around. "And fortunately for us, Kyle doesn't seem to be doing super well."

"That doesn't explain what they want with us." Shannon said.

"Our power." Jerikah said simply. "We are amongst the most powerful people alive. Level wise I am the highest we could find, however John is by far stronger. The reason they want us is because they want our power. They want to use us to control those who stand against them."

"Any idea how to stop them?" Sera asked.

"Simple. We have to defeat them all."

"But how do we do that?"

"Didn't you hear her Sera?" Cathy asked. "We are some of the strongest people in the world."

"Ok, but if they could command people like you doesn't that mean most of them are stronger?" Taz asked.

"No." Jerikah said simply. "They are actually quite weak. The strongest is only an 8.2"

"Only an 8.2" Sera said. "Becuase that is totally something to scoff at."

"When it comes to me and John it is." Jerikah said simply. "Now then, I believe it is time we begin planning our next move."

Sorry for the *very* long pause. 😅 I had some stuff to deal with in my personal life and I go to college soon, so there may be a notice of a few weeks where there will be a delay or no publication at all. So sorry about the wait and thank you so much for sticking it out with me while I take my time to recharge and hop right back into the action!
