Chapter Four

Aisha's POV :

It's been a week, he's been avoiding and ignoring me. He daily goes out in the middle of the night and comes back in the morning.

Today I'm going to ask him
everything and clear this mess! it's ridiculous. I want to know what is running in his mind. Why is he behaving so abnormally.

We have never fought for this long. Whenever we had a fight, anyone of us would slove it and cheer up the other. But, this has gone too far. I don't even know the reason behind we not talking with each other. Because nothing happened in my memory.

It's a sunday and the kids forced us to take them out. Since it's been long we didn't go anywhere. So, we went for an movie and then had lunch and now as always we are here in their favorite park.

Both of us are sitting in our usual spot in complete silence. He's engrossed in his phone.

I decided to break the silence.

"Dev!"... I called him.

He turned looking at me. As my light blue orbs looked in it his deep blue ones, for a minute
I didn't know what to say. I am so upset and angry. So I chose not to speak and just leaned closer to him. I took his hand and put it around my neck and hugged him resting my head on his chest.

"What do you want?"
He asks without any emotion in his voice.

"I just need my husband's arms around me. Do you have any issue?"
I ask in a annoying way.

I just wanted him to hug me, kiss me, cuddle with me, do whatever he usually does with me lovingly. Why is he acting like this suddenly I have no idea and it's hurting.

"Aisha we are in public"
He said and tried taking his hand off me.

"We are married for 12 years and have three children"
I stated the fact.

"Aisha...

"Can't you keep quiet. Please!"
I cut him off in frustration. But looked up at him innocently.

He kept quiet after that and I slowly closed my eyes hearing his heart beat. After a moment I felt his lips on my hair. I smiled knowing he can't be far from me for a long time. I snuggled more closer to him. His hand slowly came to waist pulling me closer. There you go! I know my husband well.... Hee heee. We sat like that for sometime.

"What would you do if I cheated you?" He suddenly asked me.

What? I asked back looking up at him in confusion. My heart skipped a beat a this question.

"Let it be, forget what I asked"
He said and left a heavy breath.

"I know you will never cheat me, but if you do, I will die!"
I said honestly looking at him.

He looked so vulnerable and I could see pain in his eyes.

"What is happening with you? Care to explain?" I asked him and sat up straight.

"Not..hi..ng" He said and looked away.

"I know there is something, please tell me. I'm getting worried Dev"
I said being emotional now.

"It's..no.. thing"
He again said softly and got up.

He walked away somewhere. I sat looking at his vanishing figure with tears in my eyes.

"Mummy can you play with me please?" Deshan came running towards us saying.

I composed myself and wiped my eyes.

"Why? where are your siblings?"
I asked him casually.

"No one wants to play the game I want to play and I don't want to play the games they want to"
He said with a pout.
