Epilogue

Aisha's POV :

"Mumma I need to tell you something" Said Riya coming and sitting beside me while I was cutting veggies for dinner in the dining area.

"Tell me!" I said not looking at her and concentrating on my cutting.

"Look at me, it's something important"
She said shaking my arm.

I stopped my work and looked raising my eyebrow gesturing her to speak.

"I love someone" She said straight into my eyes.

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes, Mumma I do, and he is a nice guy. I want you to meet him once"
She pleaded holding my hand.

"Who's he?" I asked her normally coming out my shock.

"He works with me, he is my senior. His name is Akash Goenka"  She said shyly.

"Riya, I'm happy for you, but I need to tell your father first and then we shall see"
I stated right to the point.

"Yes mumma I know. I wanted to tell Dada but I know you will do it better than me. I'm just a little scared"
She said with a nervous smile.

"Even after we see Akash, it's going to be your father's call. Whatever he says will be final"
I said being clear and serious.

She smiled nooded her head hugging me then left.

My daughter has become a beautiful 24yr old independent woman, she looks just like me. She works for a Multinational Company as and executive editor. I'm proud of her in every way she is.

I have no issues in her loving someone, but I'm just afraid of nothing should happen to her like happened to me.

After dinner at night we were in our room and Dev was busy with his laptop. I decided to tell him about Riya now.

"Is my husband free for his lady?"
I ask putting my arms around his neck from the back.

He is sitting on the sofa.

"Always!" He says turning his head and kissed my cheek.

He closed his laptop and pulled me on top of his lap.

"What happened?"
He asks circling his hands around my waist and nuzzling his face into my neck.

I giggled and moved my head away.

"Stop it! I need to tell you something important"
I said smiling at him.

"Your smile is telling me that it's a good news"
He said with a small grin.

"It's good or bad. I don't know but surely shocking for you"
I say chuckling.

He narrowed his eyes in confusion. "Are we pregnant?" He asked.

"What, no no" I said chuckling.

"Then?" He asked with a slight smile.

I inhaled deeply saying...
"Riya told me that she loves someone and wants us to meet that guy"

"What? Seriously?"
He asked as I expected in a shocked manner.

I nodded my head with a smile.

"Wow! I mean...that's great but, who's the guy and where is from? What does he do?"
He asks in curiosity.

"He is her senior in the office and his name is Akash"
I say smiling.

"And?" He asks getting excited.

"Dev, she didn't tell me his full history. She wants us to meet him first" I say annoyingly.

"Okay we shall meet him coming Sunday, tell her to call him for lunch"
He says with a big smile.

I nooded at him and smiled.

"You know, Rahul is joining me from next week"
He says proudly.

"Yes I do and I assure you my son will do his best and you will very soon retire"
I say ruffling his hair.

I can't believe that the kids have grown up so fast and my daughter is ready for marriage. My son is going to join our company. Life has been such a roller coaster, but I thank God for always being by my side and giving me the best husband and children. My happy family.
I just pray that my kids have a wonderful life and be happy always.

"Come let's sleep. I'm very sleepy!" I say yawning.

"You go I need to finish some work" He says.

"No, nothing doing now. Please come on! You know I won't get sleep without you"
I pouted and he melted.

"Fine...wifey you win"
He says and lifted me up and walked towards our bed.

We layed down holding each other tightly and driffed to slumber.

But I didn't miss feeling his lips on my forehead before going into my beautiful dream land.
