Chapter Five

Aisha's POV :

Waking up in the morning as expected he isn't here. My leg pain subsided a bit. I'm able to stand. I somehow managed to get up myself and do all my morning jobs.

I came down limping to see, the dining table is ready with breakfast. I wonder who did all this?

"Geeta are you in the kitchen?"
I asked loudly and walked from the dining area towards the kitchen.

"Nope... It's us!"
They said in union.

I am a little shocked to see both my babies in the kitchen so early in the morning.

"Why are you both here?"
I asked them in confusion.

"To play kabbadi!"
Replied Riya laughing at me.

"Very funny!" I said giving her a fake smile.

"We thought of helping you. As we know you won't be able to stand and cook for long"
Rahul says smiling.

"Hello it was my idea!. Don't take all the credit yourself" Riya said mixing something in a bowl and glaring at Rahul.

He just stuck his tongue out at her.

My babies have grown up. I thought to myself smiling.

"Mummy come and sit here, don't stand"
Said Deshan and helped me sit on the chair.

"Mummy see, I also got up early to help Riya didi and big bro" He says smiling widely.

I am actually short of words. My kids love me so much. It's just a blessing on me. I hugged him tightly.

"Mumma we did more work!"
Said Riya standing near the kitchen counter.

"Come here my munchkins!"
I said and they both came running to hug me.

All my three kids are the best thing that ever happened to me. I'm a happy mother.

"No hugs for me?"
We heard a voice.

"Offcusse... How can we not hug you?" Riya said immediately running towards him.

Deshan also ran after her to hug him.

He kissed their foreheads. He is smiling and talking with everyone except me!.
Why? Reason? I don't know.

I looked up at Rahul who did not go to hug his father. Why did he not go? I thought in confusion. I shook his hand slightly eyeing him. As asking what happened?

He just moved his face away.
Strange? I thought again.
Dev also has a face with doubt. Before I could say anything.

Deshan spoke...
"Riya didi I'm really hungry and I'm getting late for school  He said in hurry.

"Ho yes! come let's eat fast and leave" She said coming near the table and started serving everyone.

I need to speak with Rahul. He was acting wired the whole time. God above knows how am I'm handling these father and sons trio. Even Deshan is just like them at times.

After breakfast all left for their own works. I put off today as my leg is not in a good state. The pain is not like yesterday but, it's still not yet fully gone.

I am in my room sitting and folding clothes. Geeta also told me not to do anything and sit in one place.

Just then my phone rings, to see it's my sister. She usually doesn't call at this time. I picked it up instantly.

"Hi, what's up? Everything good?"
I asked in a little worried voice.

"I should be asking you that?" She said sarcastically.
