Chapter Nineteen

Dev's POV :

I was at work when two people barged into my cabin.

"Mr. Raichand we need to talk!" Said a lady voice.

"It's urgent and you need to solve this issue right now"
Said a male voice.

I looked up from my laptop only to find my kids with serious faces.

"Yes how may I help you
Mr. And Miss. Raichand"
I asked them professionally.

Both of them sat on the opposite chairs and looked at each other than back to me.

"Tomorrow is your son's and wife's birthday. Have you planned anything?"
Asked Riya in a tensed tone.

"I actually remember that tomorrow is both their birthdays but, I have not thought of anything yet"
I said the truth.

"We have a plan"! Rahul said and I could see the plan on both their shining faces.

Both of them explained their plans to me and it was not bad though. They left after having lunch with me.

I came home and found no one in the hall. So, I walk towards the kitchen to find my wife, and she's in here.

"Aisha where are the kids?"
I ask going inside but, she didn't answer me.

I go closer to see she has earphones on so, she was not able to hear me.

I caught her by her waist and she jolted in her place.

"Dev! You idiot..." I got scared. She yelled at me.

I kiss her neck and nuzzle my face in it holding her tightly.

My peace!. And I'm glad all of it is mine only mine!. I think within myself smile.

"Stop it! And go freshen up..."
She says pushing me away and goes to the other side of the counter.

"Where are the kids?" I ask her again going close and hold her from the back keeping my chin on her shoulder.

I forget all my worries just by her smile my bad day turns out ending awesome. I don't know how it happens..but it happens.

"They have gone out for your son's birthday shopping with Preeti" She says cutting something on the chopping board.

"Why didn't my wife go?"
I ask moving my hands under her top trying to feel her soft skin.

"I had pending work in the office, I just came an hour ago" She says and again moved going towards the sink to wash the knife.

I again went behind her and pulled her close to me.
"Geeta isn't here?" I ask.

"She left early today"
She says...

I kissed her ear lobe and nibbled on it.

"Dev will you stop it! Please go and let me work"
She yelled annoyingly.

I turned her around scooping her up in my arms and started to walk out of the kitchen.

"Where are you taking me? Put me down Dev!"
She protested and wriggled.

"Come on wifey, I just thought of giving you an advanced birthday gift" I say smirking and winkned at her.

She understood and blushed but, covered it soon.

"Jaan, I've got to make dinner. Please not now!"
She says sweetly blinking her eyes.

"We can order from outside" 
I say while walking up the stairs.
