CHAPTER SIX
If anyone from his school saw him right now, he wouldn't know how to explain himself, so he pulled the hood of his black hoodie lower down his face to mask himself from the embarrassment.Bakugo's red eyes skimmed the dark wooden shelves of manga in the quiet book store. The long line of bookshelves were piled with the soft pastel aesthetic of romance covers. Each spine painted with delicate titles but every single one was already read and added to his ever growing collection.
He let out an annoyed sigh, irritated that he hadn't found a new manga to read. Walking out of the aisle and onto the next not paying attention what genre of books he had entered, as his mind was still replaying the events that had happened a few hours ago, he so badly wanted to forget it - that also being the reason for this stupid evening outing anyway.
Scanning the shelf to his right, he noticed it was full of school textbooks. He didn't need that, not to relax anyway, he had just finished a long study session before coming out here. Examining each shelf, a group of books caught his attention. Religious studies?
'Religious Studies: Islam and Christianity'
He blinked a couple of times, was the universe playing some type of cruel joke on him?
Ever since he had saw her in the prayer room a couple hours ago, it was all he could think about - why she prayed, why she ignored the idiot that interrupted her prayer and what the hell would've happened if he didn't drag that idiot out.
He could feel the tips of his ears turn red as he remembered her smirk when she saw right through his lie. But who could blame him for feeling embarrassed?
The bizarre routine took place like clockwork almost everyday. Y/N would leave the room and would come back exactly fifteen minutes later.
It was only human nature that he was intrigued to know to reasoning. But it was also because a bothering feeling was planted in his mind to follow her and find out for himself.
While on his tailgating journey he cursed himself for being such a creep. Maybe she just needed the bathroom?
Going to the bathroom at the same time everyday? That would be damn weird.
His aching curiosity demanding him to pick the textbook up. Bakugo stared at the cover for a couple more seconds, wondering why he was doing such thing but he couldn't help it, his hand had already grabbed it off the shelf.
"Now I'm the weird one... " He grumbled to himself, skimming through the pages quickly to feed his ever growing interest.
His thumb flicked through white glossy pages, each titled with everything he ever questioned about the Islam. But Bakugo didn't even know if he wanted to read about it.
