Tease [James Cook]

           It had been a whole month since Jaeden and Kitty had first 'got together', the girl ignoring cooks attempts of talking to him but if she did talk to the boy then she would try and find a way to bring up Jaeden. It was painfully obvious to anyone with a brain to see that the teenager was jealous of the girls relationship. The only people who knew the relationship was fake were Kitty and Jaeden, Effy and Naomi. Freddie also was told since he had confessed his feelings to Effy and the girl needed to change the subject.

It was Saturday and there was a quiz night at the fishponds tavern, better known as uncle Keith's pub. Effy wanted Jaeden and Kitty to go with her on some sort of date with a guy she had met at a party and talked to for ten seconds before leaving. The girl was wearing a red two piece, a tight top and a pencil skirt. Her hair was straightened and up in a ponytail, a pair of white air force on her feet. Jaeden and Kitty where walking down the street hand in hand, the action becoming a bit of a habit since they almost always held hands in school.

Effy and her date headed in first, Kitty pulling Jaeden in after her. Freddie, JJ, Naomi and Emily all turned to face the random boy with Effy, Cook looked directly at Kitty and Jaeden who where laughing at everyone's shocked faces as Effy was seen with a random. Effy let Keith know that they weren't stopping and only grabbing a pre-drink before going to a party. Kitty saw the devastated look on Freddie's face and told Jaeden to wait with the other two. Kitty strolled over and plopped down on the seat beside Freddie.

"dont look so devastated dude, she doesn't like him" Kitty rested her arm on Freddie's shoulder and whispered to him. She kissed his cheek and got back up, jogging back over to Jaeden who wrapped his arm around her shoulder. Cook was sending a look at Freddie who just shrugged in response. The group of four left the pub when they saw Freddie outside throwing up, Kitty stopped and Effy walked over to him, saying something before heading towards the party. The four danced all their worries away, Effy disappearing with her date later into the night.

Jaeden and Kitty ended up going back to his house at around two, the pair where both drunk out of their minds. Giggling quietly all the way up the stairs until the reached his room and they fell asleep almost instantly after changing. 

Kitty awoke the next morning to Jaeden jumping on top of her, the boy wrapping his arms around her. Kitty groaned and opened her eyes, Jaeden grinning at her. The girl shook her head and pushed him off

"mum made pancakes, come on" Jaeden pulled her up. Kitty laughed and the pair raced down the stairs.

"Morning mum" Kitty saluted and sat down at the dining table, digging into her pancakes immediately. Jaeden shaking his head at his best friends behaviour before digging into his own.

"Kit good morning! i was thinking next weekend me, you and Jay can all go on a road trip. We can stop at a bunch of places and just spend the weekend together, if its okay with Anthea?" Lex told the teenage girl

"you, mum, are the fucking best" Kitty told Lex "Anthea will be fine with me coming, she's still depressed with the whole Jim situation so i bet shed be happy to get rid of me for a little while" 

"then its sorted, stay here on Friday night then we leave on Saturday" Lex nodded and kitty squealed before jumping up and hugging the woman and her best friend. Kitty was beyond happy, spending time with her brother and the woman that has been more of a mother figure than anyone else. When she found out her dad was ill kitty went straight to Lex who comforted the crying girl, that was last weekend and she hasn't had any updates on his health. She wanted to go back to Florida but her dad said no.

Lex was hoping this road trip would get Kitty's mind of the current situation.

- This is for the person who messaged me demanding for cook and kitty to get together, fuck you. I want to get them together again and it will happen eventually. This fanfic is more focussed on Kitty and not the relationship between her and cook.

- Sorry for the rant and late upload, I've been terribly busy with school since i have exams coming up.
