XXV

"Hey, boys." Heather said while she laid in bed. "What y'all up to?"

"Dear made us breakfast." Killian said as he held up a piece of bacon. "Where's daddy?" Heather showed Amaru in the camera who was laying next to her. "Daddy!"

Amaru looked at the phone and smiled. "Sup, little men? Y'all being good?"

"Yes!" Micah replied. "Look, we got pancakes."

"Y'all sharing?" Amaru asked.

"Daddy, how can we share when you're all the way in Florida?" Killian said, making Heather laugh.

Amaru sucked his teeth. "You could've tried, man."

"You're not about to have me looking like a fool." Killian replied as Heather laughed harder.

"Just stop talking, Kill." Amaru said as he turned his back.

"Killian, you hurt your daddy's feelings." Heather said, putting the phone back on him.

"Sorry, daddy. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." Killian told him.

Amaru smiled. "It's alright, Kill."

They all continued to talk until the boys finished eating breakfast. Amaru and Heather ended up having a quick recap of last night before they showered together and got dressed in color coordinating outfits.

"If it was up to me then we would still be in the hotel room having sex on the balcony." Heather said.

Amaru chuckled. "That's on your bucket list?"

"Yes, with you." Heather replied as she intertwined their fingers while they walked down the sidewalk.

"You wanna know what's on mine with you?" Amaru asked.

"What?"

"This." Amaru said as he pointed at the helicopter up in the sky. "We're about to go on a helicopter tour."

"Ama—what the hell?! I never been on a damn helicopter!" Heather exclaimed.

Amaru laughed as he kissed her hand. "You'll enjoy it. I promise."

Heather sighed. "Just make sure you hold me while we're up there."

"Always."

Mya squealed when she saw Zachariah standing on the porch with their father. Mya and Shakur took the three and a half hour trip to join them for dinner.

"It's my dad, Shakur!" Mya said with tears in her eyes as he parked the car.

Shakur smiled at his fiancée's excitement while he turned off the engine. "C'mon. Let's go meet pops."

Shakur got out of the car before jogging over to the passenger side to open Mya's door. Mya stepped out of the car and couldn't help the smile when she looked at her brother and father. The two of them walked up to the porch and Dontae—Mya's father didn't waste any time hugging her. Mya hugged him back as tears fell from her eyes.

Both Zachariah and Shakur hugged and greeted each other. They've met on FaceTime and have been very accepting to each other.

Dontae pulled away from the hug and smiled at Mya. "You look just like your mother." He looked over at Shakur and smiled at him as well. "So, this is my soon to be son in law?"

Mya smiled. "Yes, this is Shakur."

Dontae went in for a hug and Shakur accepted the hug. "It's nice to meet you."

"You too." Shakur replied.

"Let's go head inside. Y'all have a sister in law and a few nieces and nephews y'all gotta meet." Zachariah chimed in.
