Amaru watched the news on his phone as he waited for Killian to get out of his first counseling session. They just took Simone's killer into custody. It was her most recent ex boyfriend. He was abusing her and she wanted out. Unfortunately, he did not want to let her go.
The funeral caused Killian more pain and grief seeing his mother in the casket. It was also hard on Amaru seeing his son so hurt. He wished he could take all the pain.
"Daddy, I'm ready." Killian said as he and his therapist walked out of the room.
Amaru spoke with Mya and she directed him to a black male therapist because he needed someone to relate with Killian. Based on Killian's expression, Amaru knew the appointment went well.
"How'd everything go?" Amaru asked.
"Great. We covered a lot of things today. I told him if he feels comfortable with going into detail with you then he can. I usually do this so that my friends can trust me. Right, little man?" The therapist said.
"Right, Dewayne." Killian said with a smile.
Amaru smiled as well. "Thanks, man."
"No problem. Y'all take it easy."
Amaru and Killian walked out of the building hand in hand as they headed to the car. "I like Dewayne, daddy. He's really easy to talk to." Killian said as Amaru helped him in the car.
"That's good. I'm glad Auntie Mya was able to find someone who you can trust." Amaru replied. He wasn't about to pry any information out of Killian. He wanted Killian to share whenever he's comfortable.
They went straight to Heather's home. She was currently making dinner and they were both hungry. Once they arrived, they walked in and could smell the food coming from the kitchen.
"Baby, we here!" Amaru announced as he and Killian kicked their shoes off.
"Yan!" Micah shouted from the living room. That was his nickname for Killian currently since he couldn't say Killian.
"Micah!" Killian shouted back as he ran to the living room.
Amaru walked into the kitchen and found Heather turning off the stove. He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Hey, baby." He said, kissing her neck.
Heather smiled. "Hey, Amaru. How was his appointment?" She asked, referring to Killian.
"It seemed like it was great. He didn't give me any details and I didn't ask for them." Amaru replied.
Heather nodded. "Okay, that's good. Well, dinner is ready."
"I see." Amaru said as he grabbed Heather's private area through her yoga pants.
"Did you just Donald Trump me?" Heather joked.
Amaru stuck his hands inside of her pants and smirked when he realized she wasn't wearing panties. He began to massage her clit with his middle finger as he sucked a hickey onto her neck.
Heather rested her head back onto Amaru's chest and bit her bottom lip so she wouldn't moan. "A—Amaru, the k—kids."
Amaru pulled his hand out of Heather's pants just in time as Micah and Killian walked into the kitchen. "Is dinner ready?" Killian asked.
"Yes." Heather replied. That was the only word she could get out at the moment.
Amaru chuckled. "Go ahead and wash your hands." And the boys did just that.
"Just wait until they go to bed." Heather told Amaru.
Amaru raised his wet finger and licked off her juices. "I can't wait."
