"Put that in the bag, Killian." Heather said, handing him a newborn outfit. "He's wearing this when we go home."

"It's been washed?" Killian asked as he took the outfit from her and inspected it.

Heather chuckled. "Yes, big brother."

"Okay, just checking." Killian replied while walking away.

Heather was thirty eight weeks and she was having her nesting party. Everyone arrived with gifts and were ready to sort and clean—even Mya's family came. Heather was filled with joy and excitement knowing baby three will be making his entrance soon.

"How you feeling, baby?" Amaru asked her as he sat down on the couch next to her.

"Excited, but nervous—my nerves are all over the place." Heather said. "The countdown is getting real."

Amaru chuckled. "Very."

"I want to talk to you about something though." Heather said as she folded a onesie.

"What's up?" Amaru said.

"I—I want Micah to become a King once we get married." She said.

Amaru nodded. "I'm open and willing to it, however, I think that's something we should allow Micah to decide on."

"Why?" Heather asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"That's a big step and when it comes to his biological dad, I—"

"That's not his fucking father, Amaru!" Heather yelled, causing a scene.

Amaru sighed. "Let's have this conversation later, okay?"

"Fuck you." Heather replied as she got up and walked away.

"Aye, what'd you do to my girl H?!" Arman exclaimed as he placed his hands on his hips.

"Yeah, what was that?" Mya asked Amaru.

Amaru sighed again as he rubbed his forehead. "I don't know."

"Give her some space for now. It'll be okay." Cynthia assured him, rubbing his shoulder.

Later that day, Amaru walked into the room with a plate of food and closed the door behind him. Everyone left a couple of hours after the outburst and Heather did not come back out. Amaru placed the food next to her on the nightstand before he began to take off his shirt to get ready for a shower.

"Would you like to talk now or after my shower?" Amaru asked.

"I don't want to talk to you at all." Heather said harshly.

"We're not about to go to bed mad at each other, Heather." Amaru told her. "If you would have just listened to me then we could have saved the embarrassment."

"So it's my fault and I embarrassed you?!" Heather snapped. "Fuck you, Amaru!"

Amaru sighed. "Maybe it's the hormones." He mumbled.

"What?" Heather asked.

"Nothing." Amaru replied. "I'm about to hop in the shower."

"Yeah, and you can go sleep on the couch afterwards." Heather said.

Amaru only nodded as he proceeded to get ready for his shower. He wasn't sure what exactly Heather's problem was, but he was hoping she would get over it soon so they could have a civilized conversation. Amaru was not the type to get in a screaming match with his partners because he knew that wouldn't solve anything. Hopefully Heather would calm down from whatever she was feeling.

"Did you and Heather talk?" Shakur asked as he changed Kennedi.

Amaru shook his head. "No, we didn't."

"She called me last night and she said you were trying to get out of adopting Micah?" Mya said in more of a question.

"Oh my—that's not true! What the fuck is wrong with her—seriously?!" Amaru exclaimed. "She told me that she wants Micah to be a King once we get married. I said cool and I was open to it, but I personally think we should wait on it so Micah can make the decision for himself when he gets older. I know what Chance did was wrong and unforgivable, but we don't know what Micah would want in the future. Yes, he looks at me as a father and calls me daddy, but that's mild compared to adopting him."

Shakur and Mya looked at each other and nodded. "Yeah, that makes sense." Shakur said. "Did you explain that to her?"

"I tried but she went off on me. I don't know what's wrong with her." Amaru said.

"Well, her hormones and mood swings were real bad towards the end of her pregnancy with Micah. I think that's what we're dealing with here." Mya told him. "I'll call her and let her know what's up, okay?"

Amaru nodded. "Okay, thank you."

"See, big girl. This is why you shouldn't date in the future. Relationships are complicated." Shakur said to Kennedi as he picked her up from the changing pad on the couch.

Mya scoffed as she walked away. "Boy, hush."

Shakur chuckled as he looked at his older brother who was looking sad. "This was y'all first real argument, huh?"

"Yeah and I hate it." Amaru said. "That's my baby and I don't want to argue with my baby, man."

"Awww." Shakur cooed as he handed Kennedi to him. "Hold your niece to make yourself feel better."

Amaru laughed as he took Kennedi from him and kissed her forehead. "Uncle's baby girl."

After Amaru spent an hour spoiling Kennedi, Mya gave him the okay and he ended up going home. He wasn't avoiding Heather—he just wanted to make sure she was calm.

"Amaru?" Heather said as Amaru walked into the house. Amaru looked at her and saw that she had been crying. He wrapped his arms around her and she buried her face in his chest. "I'm sorry. I'm so stupid."

"You're not stupid, baby." Amaru told her. "I love you, aight?"

"I love you too." Heather replied. "A—and I understand where you're coming from. Mya told me. I should've allowed you to explain. I agree that's best."

Amaru kissed her lips. "I'm glad you understand. Now, don't allow these hormones to get the best of you, okay? You hurt my damn feelings."

Heather smiled. "I'm sorry."

Amaru kissed her again. "Let's go to bed, baby."

"That's my daddy." Micah told his daycare teacher as he pointed to Amaru's car through the window that pulled up to the daycare.

"Okay, he'll be coming in soon to check you out." His teacher assured him.

"I'm about to get my stuff." Micah said.

The teacher laughed. "Boy, I swear you something else. Trying to rush up out of here."

A few moments later, Amaru walked into the classroom with Killian right beside him. Micah quickly walked over to him with his things in tow.

"What you doing, man?" Amaru asked with a chuckle. "You gotta put your coat on."

"I'm ready to go!" Micah said as Killian began to help him with his coat. Micah was a homebody and did not like being around anyone except his family.

"Aight, boys. Come on." Amaru said once he signed Micah out. They walked out of the building and Amaru helped the kids in the backseat. Micah greeted Heather who was in the passenger seat before sitting in his car seat.

Amaru got in the driver's seat once he was done with the boys. As soon as he was about to put the car in drive, Heather grabbed his hand. "It's time." She said.

"Time?" Amaru questioned. Heather motioned towards her lap and Amaru's eyes widened when he saw the wet spot on her jeans. "Oh shit. It's time."
