It was around 4am when you jolted up from your bed, panting heavily from a bad dream. After a few minutes, you managed to calm down but you had injured your back from how quickly you had sat up.

'Just my luck,' you thought, groaning as you checked the time.

(Y/N)'s POV

'4am? There's no way that I'm going to be a able to get back to sleep. Even if I did, I would have to wake up 3 hours later. Perhaps I should read and try to forget about that horrible dream.'

I used to get nightmares about my parents' deaths very often in the 'orphanage' but with age, they appeared less frequently. It was just one of those bad nights, tonight.

Slowly, I reached for a book and began to read it. The book was quite interesting: it was about a girl whose family had been killed by a witch and a curse had been placed on her so that everyone who she talks to falls in love with her, she also became poor and had to live on the streets of her village until someone let her live with them.

'How exactly is that a curse? Most people want to be loved by everyone. I suppose that she's not one of those people, nor am I.'

I managed to read a quarter of the book but everything seemed fine and wonderful so far. She'd made some good friends in her village. Before I could read anything else, my alarm for when I was supposed to wake up sounded so I got ready for school and went on my way, despite the pain in my back.

Something about (L/N) today seemed off but when I asked her about it, she said that she was fine. Since I was so focused on what might be wrong with her, work was slower today and although I would usually be upset by this, I found myself not caring at all.
