Night One

Isabella's POV

I finished placing the last drinks in the esky as the hound of people rolled onto the beach. From the back patio, the beach looked awesome. Barrel bonfires scattered the beach, providing light and warmth, logs were placed around them providing seats. Speakers were scattered around, blasting music all along the beach. Something tells me that tonight will be awesome.

I adjusted my dress and walked down the back steps and onto the beach, the cool air hitting me as I did. I immediately walked to the closest bonfire to warm myself up. As the warmth hit me, two arms wrapped around my waste.

"A bit cold?" Michael joked in the ear. I rolled my eyes and held him closer to me.

"Actually, yes. And you're warm." I replied, his warmth already warming me up.

"Well, I'm perfectly ok with standing here all night." He said, trying to cuddle into me.

"Don't get creepy."

"Here," a voice said from my right. I turned to see Xavier standing there holding a jacket out to me.

"Thanks." I smiled, accepting the jacket. I pushed Michael away from me and slip my arms into Xavier's very warm jacket.

"Dude! I was perfectly happy keeping her warm!" Michael whined from behind me. I rolled my eyes and stepped over to Xavier.

"Feel like going for a walk?" I asked and he nodded, following me down the beach, to where the main crowds are.

"So," I said, breaking the silence as we walked, "anyone here capture your attention?" Xavier looked down at me in curiosity and stifled a small chuckle.

"Yeah, there is." I looked up at him in shock and smiled.

"Really? That's great! Where is she?" I asked, looking around the crowded beach.

"You can't see her," he said as he placed his hands in his pockets.

''Oh.'' I replied. "Ok."

"What about you?" he asked, slipping his hands into his jean pockets. "Anyone catch your fancy?"

"Hmm.." I said, stopping to look around the beach, "Not really."

"Good," Xavier said, stopping beside me.

I looked up at him and raised an eyebrow in curiosity, "Good?"

"Yeah," he smiled shyly before walking off again. I stared at his back as he walked away and after a couple of steps he turned back to me, "Well, are you coming?"

I smiled and ran along and caught up to him. We stopped at a bonfire that had a couple of people scattered around. He took a seat on an empty log and patted the space beside him. I took a seat and held my hands up to the fire, the warmth on my hands giving me a feeling of warmth all over.

Xavier stared into the fire, caught in deep thought before turning to me swiftly.

"Bella, can I ask you something?" he asked, rubbing his hands together nervously.

I half smiled and turned on the log to look at him, "Of course, shoot."

He stared at the sand before returning the half smile and looking up at me. "So, ever since I first met you, I knew we were going to be close, and I really wanted to ask you, would you-"

His sentence was cut off by the sound of loud manly hooting. We both looked up to the sand dunes on the far end of the beach and about 15 guys came running down, beer cartons in both hands. At right up the front was no other than Ashten Blake.
