Night One: Continued...

Xavier and I found ourselves back at the main party, when the music was pumping and the crowds were crawling in.

I couldn't help but wonder who all of these people were. We were hours away from Kingston, and no one would drive than distance for to night, so where did they come from? I looked around a shrugged it off. None of them looked like serial killers.

"You thirsty?" Xavier asked from beside me. I looked over and nodded my head.

"That would be excellent, thanks!" I replied and he nodded.

"Won't be long." He left my side and began the short walk up the sand dune and into our weekend home.

"Hey, pretty lady!" Staceys voice sounded from beside me. I looked over and smiled.

"Hey Stacey."

She moved her hips slowly in beat to the music and took a sip from her cup. She scanned the beach and smiled.

"Two o'clock." She whispered, nodding her head forward. I looked up and turned my head slightly to the right. Over by another bonfire stood Ashten, eyes directley on me.

"Look like someones taken interest in you," she giggled, taking a sip from her cup. I rolled my eyes at her comment.

"More like his intoxicated self is thinking of a way to ruin my night, and my weekend. Before he said that he and his mates were going to pop by tomorrow, considering they have the place next door."

Stacey grinned. "Really?"

I shoved her shoulder slightly, "Don't get excited. Its not something to get excited over. I thought I had a couple of days away from him."

Stacey pouted. "Aww- come on! But hes so haaaandsome!"

"So? He ruins that in pestness," I grunted and Stacey shrugged.

"He can be a pest to me anyday." She looked up the sand dunes at the same time as I did and we both spotted Xavier walking towards us. He stopped beside me and handed me my drink.

"Thanks, Xavier." I smiled, bringing the bubbly drink to my lips.

"Well, I'm going to go find Rissa." Stacey bid us goodbye and disapeared into the crowds.

"Judging by your facial expression, that was an interesting conversation?" Xavier chuckled as he took a sip on his drink. I glanced back over at Ashten before looking straight back at Xavier.

"I guess you could say that. Stacey was more than excited at Ashten's threat," I frowned.

"Oh, come on!" Xavier grinned, "He's not serious. Relaaax!"

I frowned up at Xavier, "No, I will not relax, now sit." I pushed Xavier and he fell onto the log that sat underneath us. I sat beside him and frowned over at Ashten who took no notice of me as he laughed with his friends.

Well, my night was just ruined.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

As the night set into early morning, people began to leave the beach. Those who didn't leave passed out on the sandy dunes.

The gang slowly made their way up to the main house, and after kicking out all the people who loitered around, collapsed into their beds.

Upon entering our room, Xavier threw himself onto the bed and I shut the door behind me. Xavier rolled onto his back and stared up at the roof. I walked over and threw myself down beside him bouncing slightly as I did so. I turned my head and looked at Xavier from my stomach, where he lay lost in his thoughts.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked curiously, placing my arms under my head.

"What happened in that Biology lab last week?" Xavier asked, never taking his eyes from the roof.

"I already told you, it was nothing."

Xavier turned and caught my eyes, looking at me in disapproval.

"You and I both know thats not true," he stated, rolling onto his side coming closer to me.

"It is what happened!" I exclaimed rolling onto my side so that I was no longer looking at him. However the move did not last long, as Xavier just pulled me right back again, until I was looking at him once more.

"You were tied to the desk, looking thorougly distraught. You can't sit here and lie right to my face, telling me its nothing."

I pushed him in the chest and sat up, staring at the door. My mind was blurred with countless thoughts, like how I was going to get out of this one. Could I tell him why I was there? I didn't think I could. What would he think of me? That I was too weak and let myself get pushed around by a group of idiotic girls? Weak. Now thats a word I hate.

"Just drop it." I growled, climbing around him and laying on the bed.

"Isabella!" he exclaimed, turning and laying beside me on the bed. I felt him move to his side, probably facing me.

"Just talk to me. Didn't we just have a fun night?" he said as he nudged my side. I smiled slightly remembering him pulling me up to dance just as the music got slow. He pulled me in and we awkwardly rocked under the stars. Whilst ridiculous, it was nice.

"Yeah, we did. But please don't push it any further."

He went silent. For a while, the only sound was our breathing and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore nearby. It was peaceful, and awkward.

"Fine, I'll just check the security footage."

I spun around quickly and met his gaze, "Don't you dare!" I threatened and he smiled.

"If you don't tell me, I will. I care about you Bella, and I can see that the whole situation has scared you somehow. Whatever it was, I want to know. I want to know how to make you feel OK again."

My smile dropped slightly, but a slight hint of it remained. Xavier lay there, searching my eyes for some kind of response. When I didn't reply, he sighed.

"Come on Bella." He muttered and I lay, staring at him in blankness. He was the only person to have ever admitted about caring for me, heck, he was probably the first person to.

We remained in this gaze for what seemed like eternity. But it all ended when he leaned in closer...

And kissed me.
