Day One

Isabella's POV

My eyes slowly opened and I stretched out on the double bed. My muscles relaxed and I fell back into my pillow. The sun was shining in through the window and the smell of bacon wafted in through under the door.

I smiled, knowing today was going to be a good day. Slowly, I bent over the other side of the bed and found Xavier sprawled out on the floor. Poor boy, I asked him if he wanted to sleep up here with me, but he insisted that he sleep on the floor, not wanting to make me uncomfortable.

After who knows how long having an argument, he found his way to the floor, where he stayed. Sighing, I grabbed the glass of water that sat on my night stand and slowly poured it onto Xavier.

It splashed on his right eye, and he jumped up, startled and slightly wet. I began giggling and he looked up at me and wiped his eye with the back of his hand.

"And good morning to you too," he said, stretching his arms out above his head.

"Hows the weather down there?" I mocked with a smile. He laughed and sat up in his bed.

"Very funny and for your information the weather is lovely down here!" He smiled as he stood up. He grabbed his glasses from the bedside table and slid them onto his face.

"You're not going to wear your contacts?" I asked, pushing the blankets off of me. I stood beside him and I only came up to his shoulders.

"Why bother?" he shrugged. He rubbed his eyes and stiffled a yawn as he made his way to the door.

I rolled my eyes and followed him down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Good morning!" Stacey shouted from behind the counter. I jumped at her loudness and Xavier smiled down at me.

"I thought you'd be use to her early morning crazy by now." He said as he took a seat at the counter. I rolled my eyes and sat beside him.

"Where are the others?" I asked as I grabbed a pancake off of the plate. It suprisingly wasn't burnt.

"They went for a walk down the beach. They'll be back in about 5." She smiled and glanced at me caustiously.

"Hey Stacey, why aren't these pancakes burnt?" I smiled as I observed the pancake.

"Second times a charm?" she smiled. Xavier and I looked at eachother then back at Stacey.

"Ok Stacey, where'd you buy them from?" Xavier asked and Stacey threw the last pancake on the plate.

"The little cafe' down the road." She frowned. I smiled and placed the pancake in my mouth. "But don't tell the others, I wanted to prove I could cook!"

I rolled my eyes and grabbed a handful of flour off the bench and chucked it at Stacey.

"There-" I smiled, "Now it looks like you've been baking!"

Xavier laughed and Stacey smiled. "You're a genius, its suppose to look like I've cooking!" She reached over and grabbed an egg and smashed it on the bench then rubbed a bit on her face.

"Ok Stacey, you look fine now!" I assured and she placed the second egg down carefully.

"Awesome! That'll show them I can cook!" She grinned, before heading to the fridge to grab toppings.

I looked over to Xavier and mouthed- Shes crazy. He whispered back "I know."

Stacey slammed the toppings on the bench and let out a sigh of relief.

"Cooking's hard" Stacey sighed. Xavier and I looked at each other and I began to laugh.

"Stacey- you didn't even cook?" I asked, smiling.

"I had to drive to the shops!" She exclaimed, and I rolled my eyes, stuffing another pancake into my mouth.

"Good morning peasents!" Michael exclaimed as he entered the room followed by the others.

"Oh my majesty, how I have missed you!" Stacey joked bowing in front of him. I rolled my eyes at the both of them and turned to grab a banana off the counter.

"I know my presence is overwhelming but you don't need to look away!" Michael said as he raced over and turned my chair back around, causing my banana to drop from my grip and go sliding across the marble floor.

"Hey!" I exclaimed, as I watched my banana come to a stop by hitting the back of the couch.

"Oh I'm sorry my lady- shall I get you a new one?"

"Michael, cut the act. Please." Zack joked. Michael rolled his eyes and took the seat next to me.

"Did Bella cook?" Carissa asked and she walked to the other side of the bench where Stacey stood.

"No- I did!" Stacey smiled. The trio looked at each other and burst out laughing.

"Stacey, no offense, but every thing you touch turns to stone." Michael laughed.

"No, it was me! I've got the flour and egg on me to prove it!" She exclaimed, pointing to the stuff on her apron.

Zack turned to me and asked, "Did she really cook?"

I shrugged- "Everything was made by the time I got here. They're safe though, I've already eaten two."

Without second guessing, Michael and Zack dug into the pancakes. I rolled my eyes and took another off the plate.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

"So what do you guys want to do tonight?" Carissa asked from beside me.

It's three in the afternoon and the whole group was down at the beach. The boys were being idiots in the ocean and us girls were sun baking in the afternoon sun.

"I don't know- is there anything happening tonight?" Stacey asked as she flipped onto her stomach.

"There's a carnival on tomorrow night?" Carissa said as she too flipped onto her stomach.

"That's our plan for tomorrow night, then." I said as I adjusted my sunnies.

"Hey- there's a few kids in the other beach houses, why don't we invite them down and have a party?" Stacey suggested.

"I'm down with that!" Carissa laughed.

"We'll it's settled then- we're throwing a party!"
