Sunday Morning

"What do you want for breakfast?" Stacey asked me as I brushed my hair.

"I'll just grab something from the vending machine," I answered, putting my hair up in a messy ponytail.

"Nonsense! Come with me to the kitchen, and we'll grab you something proper," she grabbed my hand and pulled me into the hallway.

"Hey Emily! Hey Sam!" she waved to two girls who were walking down the hallway.

"Hey Stacey!" they waved back.

"They're in the room across the hall," Stacey informed me. I nodded.

We walked down the stairs and through a small doorway and into the kitchen. This kitchen was huge! There was three stoves and three fridges. There were pots and pans hanging from the roof, and like the rest of the building, everything was pink.

"Whats with the pink? I asked Stacey as I sat at the breakfast bar.

"Amelia. Her daddy paid the school for them to turn the girls dorms into whatever she wanted,"

"Amelia, Ashtens girlfriend," Figures.

"Yes, I'm Ashtens girlfriend, who is asking?" a squeeky voice asked from behind me.

"Dont look into her eyes, you'll turn to stone," Stacey whispered into my ears. I smiled and turned around to face Amelia - in a mini pink dress.

"Hey Amelia, Im Isabella. I'm new,"

"Figures, otherwise you would be calling me Miss. Thompson,"

"I'm sorry, Miss Thompson?" I smiled.

"Save your ass kissing to someone else," she hissed, then turned her attention to Stacey.

"Teach your friend some manners," she said, then clicked her fingers and stormed out.

"Shes a piece of work," I said turning to face Stacey. She was no longer standing beside me. I looked around and found her laying on the floor, frozen.

"Stacey, what are you doing?" I asked, standing up.

"She looked me in the eyes, I've turned to stone!" she muffled. I shook my head and nuddged her in the butt.

"Get up," I said, " We gotta meet up at the shak,"

~*~~*~

"So, Isabella," Xavier said as we walked to the library.

"So, Xavier," I mimicked, smiling up at him. This boy is tall!

"I want to get to know you, so where did you come from?" he said, putting his hands in his pockets.

"I'm from Californa," I answered.

"Cool, must be nice with the sun. I've lived here all my life," he said, looking at his feet as he walked.

I'm no science geek, but judging by the way he behaves, hes very to himself.

"Do you have any family?" he asked as we walked through the quad.

"Yeah, theres my mum and my older sister," I answered, pulling my jacket against me as a cool breeze flew by.

"Cool, what does your mum do?"

I froze. I cant tell him shes a waitress - then he'll start asking questions about how I afford this place. And I'm not letting anyone know I'm on a scholarship.

"Shes a - uh - doctor," I lied. A doctor, Bella! Really!? You could have thought of something a little lower.

"Whats your family names?" he asked.
