George pulled Aurora with him to St. Mungos to visit Bill, Fleur, and baby Victoire. Aurora had never seen George so giddy. He had almost walked right in holding her hand. Aurora had pulled herself away from him for a moment before speaking, "George, I think we should keep whatever is happening between us...a secret. For now." Aurora had stopped walking and stepped off to the side and begged George to follow her so they wouldn't be in view of his family. She knew they would ask how she got there so fast – Ginny was the only one who was smart enough to know something was happening with them. Aurora was certain Ron removed the memory of walking in on her and George snogging by his fireplace.
George sighed softly, looking down at Aurora before nodding silently. He glanced around quickly before leaning down and pressing his lips against hers. "You're right, I know. What are we going to say about coming here together?" Aurora shrugged and pecked his lips back quickly. "We can just tell them that I was helping you in the shop."
George nodded. He had to pull himself back from reaching for her hand again, though. This was going to be harder than he thought.
They made their way closer to the maternity ward and soon found his entire family, minus Molly and Arthur, in the waiting room.
"Hey George!" Ron grinned, giving his brother a hug. He then glanced behind George, raising a brow at Aurora. "Rory, what are you doing here?" He almost choked on his own saliva as Hermione elbowed him roughly in the side.
"Oh!" Ron exclaimed, shaking his head. "Not that we don't want you here. I'm just surprised to see you come here with George, that's all." Ron explained, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck as he looked over to Hermione – a look of guilt washing over his face.
Aurora laughed softly. "You're fine, Ron. I was at the shop and George felt bad leaving me so soon, so he decided to drag me along. Hopefully Bill and Fleur won't mind." Aurora smiled. Her hand reached up to tuck some hair behind her ear. She was in the yellow sundress she had worn to George's yesterday – and was silently thanking Godric Gryffindor that nobody else in the Weasley family had seen her.
Ginny moved to hug her best friend. "You know Fleur loves you, almost most than she loves me and I'm her sister-in-law!" Ginny joked, pecking Aurora's cheek as Aurora did the same to her in return.
"Cute dress, by the way." Ginny played with the shoulder strap ties for a moment before hugging her brother. "Hello George." She greeted.
While they waited for Molly and Arthur to rejoin them in the waiting room, discussions of attending the vigil at Hogwarts soon erupted between Ron, Hermione, Harry, and Ginny. Aurora noticed how George tensed up immediately. She had so desperately wanted to reach for him and hold him. Her fingers twitched, her hand almost raising to reach for him, but she stopped herself.
This was going to be harder than she had imagined. The pain washing over George's features was twisting her heart and squeezing it tight. A wave of panic washed over her, causing the color to drain from her face, and for her to quickly grab a seat in the nearest chair before she toppled over from the dizziness now swarming her head.
"Are you going?" She heard Hermione speak up.
Aurora looked up at the brunette and smiled, "Uh- yes. Yes, I think I am." She quickly peeked over at George before looking at the group again.
George was still standing still, his hands stuffed in his pockets. Why weren't they asking him? She knew she hadn't seen him there before, other than the initial unveiling of the monument created in honor of all of those lost in battle.
