"What do you want?"
George eyed his younger sister who was standing at the counter of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. He knew she always got her Christmas shopping done early so the reason for her being here could really only be one thing – Aurora.
"Can't I just stop in to say hi to my big brother?" Ginny retorted, rolling her eyes as she leaned her elbows onto the wood countertop, glancing up at George with a grin.
"No." He spat back, a sigh escaping his lips as he moved to play around with the copy of todays Daily Prophet. Nothing of too much importance was on the front page, so he decided to open up and skim through the varied articles.
"Is that the only newspaper you've seen today?" Ginny asked, chewing on her bottle lip as she glanced down at the newest edition of Witch Weekly in her hands.
"Yes, why?" George already could tell he would not like where this conversation was going. "What's that?" He questioned.
Ginny handed the rolled of edition of Witch Weekly over to him. "Apparently an unofficial-former Death Eater's dating life is all the rage these days." She sighed.
George gripped the magazine tightly, "So..." He began, his eyes narrowing at his youngest sibling, "You're telling me you came all this way to show me some sort of gossip column about Aurora and that bloke she's dating?"
"He has a name, you know."
"Yes, I know. But I don't really care." George said flatly. He glanced back down to the magazine before he slowly opened it up and flipped through the pages until he found what Ginny was talking about.
There she was. Front and center. It would truly be a nice photo of her if Theo wasn't standing next to her with his arm around her waist and his hand on her hip. Her long dark locks were curled to perfection, framing her face as her dainty fingers reached up to brush the shorter strands out of her eyes. Even in this photo he could see himself becoming mesmerized by those bright blue skies – not a cloud in sight.
'Former bad boy turned Ministry employee, Theodore Nott, pictured here with his date, Aurora Sinclair outside of Malfoy Manor leaving Narcissa Malfoy's Annual Holiday Ball. Aurora has been living in London, away from the Wizarding world since her graduation from Hogwarts – so what is it about the former bad boy that has her returning to magic? Rumor has it they will be spending Christmas in Paris together.'
George scoffed. "This is absolute rubbish." He told his sister, slamming the magazine down on the countertop. He was fuming mad but could not take his eyes off of Aurora in the sparkling gold dress that hugged every curve just right. Fuck.
Ginny sighed, "I'm sorry, George. I just... I wanted you to get a head start on your reaction. I think he might be proposing on Christmas."
"How original." George grunted, rolling his eyes before he saw Verity watching them from one of the aisles – putting away some more sets of exploding snap cards. He glared at her – knowing full well she was eavesdropping.
