Before anyone comes for me I know that all tics are different. Some are vocal and some are motor. I'm using both... kind of. You'll see. I'm basing it on a day that my friend had one time. Oh yeah and this includes language (as if my others don't) but yeah
Corbyn was happy with himself. Aside from the normal tics that he got, he didn't have a tic attack from the amount of stress that they were being put under from management. He rarely got hate for having Tourette's. Most people said they made him even cuter while others never addressed it at all. He and the band would laugh when the tics would happen at weird times. It helped make everything easier. Today he knew it was going to be a rough day. When he woke up he felt a little tingly. He blinked rapidly for a moment as he headed downstairs. "Hi," he said before accidentally biting his lip.
Jack looked up from his phone and smiled. "Goodmorning sleeping beauty," he replied.
"St-stop," Corbyn stammered as his neck twitched a little bit. "What's for breakfast?"
As if on cue, Zach's corvette pulled into the driveway and the youngest band member ran inside followed by Jonah. "I brought sausage biscuits from McDonald's. Sorry, we're late. Jonah needed his coffee. You know what he's like without it."
"Fucking bitch," Corbyn suddenly blurted out before his cheeks turned red with embarrassment. "Sorry."
Daniel laughed as he walked into the room. "Well if we knew you felt that way about McDonald's," he teased hugging his boyfriend. "You don't have to apologize unless you meant it bean."
The others laughed with Corbyn as Jack helped unpack the food. They sat at their table to eat Corbyn couldn't stop blinking. Jonah was starting to get worried. "If you're stressed we can relax. I don't want to make you have an attack or something."
Corbyn's head jerked a little bit. "No, I'm fine. Let's just do what we planned," he replied as his arm twitched causing him to almost drop his drink.
Daniel grabbed the cup. "Hey, just breathe. I know today is going to be rough. Just breathe a little bit."
Daniel knew that telling Corbyn to breathe wasn't going to help the tics but he didn't know what to do. They'd never been that bad in the morning. Corbyn finally managed to finish breakfast and went upstairs into the bathroom. Jack frowned. "Do you really think we should go? Stressing him hurts him."
Daniel got up from the table. "He won't back down. We'll have to let him tell us when he's reached his limit. I'm going to check on him."
Daniel went into the room he shared with Corbyn and saw the bathroom door closed. "Are you okay? What's going on?"
Corbyn didn't respond and Daniel began to get worried. He knocked again. "Bean?"
The door clicked and Daniel opened it. Corbyn seemed fine. He didn't seem to be hurt. "What happened?"
Corbyn shrugged. He wasn't interested in talking. He'd just had a small tic attack and it had made him tired. Daniel smiled sympathetically. "I promise we can stay home today."
"No. I'm okay. I don't want to be treated differently," Corbyn mumbled looking at the ground.
"Corbs, I'm not treating you differently, I'd do the same thing for any of the other boys if they weren't feeling well. I'm trying to help you. Please let me help you," Daniel sighed.
Corbyn's neck twitched a little bit before he glared at Daniel. "Fuck off Seavey! I know my damn limits and I'd tell you if something was wrong! You're my problem right now. You're so overprotective. Leave me alone for once."
Jonah glanced at Zach who kept his eyes on his phone. He nudged the boy. "Are you not in the least bit concerned?"
"He always swears with his tics. You heard him this morning," Zach muttered, trying to avoid the argument happening upstairs.
Jack sighed. "This wasn't a tic. He just went off on Dani. I'm going to go check on them."
Jack ran upstairs just as Corbyn stormed out of the room. "Corbyn, let's get ready to go."
Corbyn nodded. "I'm ready. I'll meet you in the car."
Jack walked into the room to find Daniel sitting on the edge of the bed picking at a thread on the blanket. Jack joined his friend and put an arm around him. "I'm sure he didn't mean it. We're all under pressure."
The group headed out and went to their first of many interviews for the day. The interviewer smiled as she signaled for the cameras to start rolling. "What's up it's Why Don't We!!"
"I'm Jack."
"I'm Zach."
"I'm Corbyn."
"I'm Daniel."
"I'm Jonah."
"And we're here playing popbuzz tower of truth!" The boys yelled enthusiastically.
The rules were explained the them and they began to play this different version of jenga. It came to Corbyn's turn and he took a breath. He reached for the block, praying he wouldn't tic at that moment and pulled it. He let out the breath he was holding and smiled. "What is the worst thing you were caught doing? Ugh, these are bad."
"It's the tower of truth Corbyn," Zach laughed.
"Dammit," Corbyn said and quickly added. "I don't know what to choose."
Jonah leaned into Daniel. "Sometimes these tics come at appropriate times."
Daniel laughed as he turned to listen to Corbyn's story. Soon enough they'd finished three interviews and decided to go out to lunch. As they sat at the table Corbyn's tics seemed to be getting worse. Daniel hugged him. "The day is almost done. Then we can go and rest. Movie night in our room," He whispered kissing the boy's cheek.
Corbyn smiled and seemed to relax a little more. Zach leaned into Daniel. "How did you do it?"
"What?" Daniel asked.
"Calm him down," Zach replied.
Daniel grinned. "I have my ways," he replied winking at Corbyn.
After lunch, they headed to the car. "You up for skateboarding Avery?" Zach asked.
Jack nodded as he unlocked his car. "Who's coming?"
Jonah grinned. "Let's go."
Daniel put an arm around Corbyn's shoulder. "I'm taking him to the house."
