Daniel walked into the house excited to share some news with the boys. "Hey, Bean. Hey Jo. Where are the others?"

"Zach is in the bathroom and Jack is on the way. Lavender got sick and he was taking care of her," Jonah replied as he closed the fridge door. "You look happy. What's going on?"

Before Daniel could reply the door opened again. "Sorry, I'm late. I brought Lavender. My mom wasn't able to watch her today. I hope that's alright," Jack replied pushing the door closed with his leg.

Corbyn walked into the hall and took Lavender into his arms. "Aww, poor baby. Don't cry," he said gently while Jack put down his backpack.

Zach walked over and smiled. "Hey, Lav. What's wrong?"

"She's got a little bit of the stomach flu that Gabbie had last week. She'll be alright," Jack replied as Corbyn carried the toddler to the couch and laid her down.

When they'd gotten Lavender settled the boys went to the dining room table so they wouldn't bother her with noise. "So what do you want to talk about?" Jonah asked, handing everyone a beer.

"You know that song that I wrote?" Daniel asked. "Be myself."

"Yeah, I was so honored that you wrote that for me Dani," Jack replied. "What about it?"

"Well, after a long argument with Randy I finally managed to convince him to put in on the album," Daniel replied.

"Cheers," Corbyn said. "But how on earth did you manage to do that? Negotiations with Randy are damn near impossible."

"He wants fans to give us money. I told him the fans like the music they can relate to. We can all relate to what you've been feeling Jack. Especially in these times. When I told him that he couldn't argue with it," Daniel responded with a grin.

Jack leaned across the table. "Dani, I'm proud of you. We all have to think like this. Relate to the fans. This is what the new era of Why Don't We is about."

After several more minutes of talking the boys got up and began to get ready for the rest of their day. Zach grabbed his car keys. "Dani, you want a ride? I'm heading to the skate park."

Daniel grinned and followed his bandmate. Jack took Lavender into his arms. "I'm heading to the doctor to get medication. I'll see you all later."

Corbyn turned to Jonah. "What do you want to do bud?"

Jonah sighed. "I just need to take a walk," he replied as he took his coat. "I'll be back soon. I promise."

Corbyn nodded and went into the studio. "Guess I'll just make some beats," he muttered to himself.

Jonah walked down the sidewalk looking around at the view as he made it to the beach. He wandered to the ice cream parlor and ordered. When he'd gotten what he wanted he continued his walk around the beach as he ate his ice cream. He ran into a fan and found himself talking with her for a long time. She left and he looked up at the sky to see the sun was almost down. "I should get home," he gasped and started running towards the main road.

Corbyn paced the house with his phone to his ear. "Hey, Zach. Have you seen Jonah? Oh. Okay then. I'll let you know if I hear from him. He seemed depressed when he left."

Jonah was almost in his neighborhood when he felt a hand clamp over his mouth. He tried to escape but the person was too strong. He felt himself being thrown against a wall. "What the hell did I do to you? I don't even know you."

"Shut up," the man growled, punching Jonah in the face. "I have my reasons."

Jonah felt blood dripping from his nose. "Wait a second. You're the one who attacked my sister."

The man slammed Jonah's head into the wall and watched him fall to the ground. Jonah was fighting against losing consciousness as he began kicking to keep the man off him. He felt the man's weight get thrown off him. He couldn't move. "Jonah?" a man asked.

"Mmmmm," was all he could get out.

"It's me, Chris. I'm going to take you home," the man replied as he gently pulled Jonah to his feet.

Jonah couldn't keep his eyes open as Chris led him into their neighborhood. Everything hurt and he knew that the wound on the back of his head was bleeding. After what felt like forever they made it to the house. Chris knocked on the door anxiously.

Corbyn ran to the door and opened it. "Oh my God! Jonah, what happened?"

"A guy must've jumped him. I found him in that alley just at the edge of the neighborhood. The guy ran off but I was more concerned about Jonah right now," Chris replied.

Corbyn took a semi-conscious Jonah into his arms. "Thank you so much. Would you like to come in?" he asked leading Jonah to the barstools in the kitchen so that he could examine him properly.

Chris shook his head. "My wife is expecting me. I'm really sorry Jonah."

Jonah didn't respond as he rested his head on the counter. Corbyn gave a small smile as he ran his fingers through Jonah's hair. "I need you to talk to me. What happened?"

Jonah put a hand over his stomach as he gritted his teeth. "I dunno," he muttered in a slurred voice. "He punched my stomach really hard."

Corbyn nodded sympathetically as he wiped Jonah's nose with a wet towel. "If you don't remember then that's okay. Let's just lay on the couch."

Jonah shook his head as he stumbled into the bathroom just in time to throw up. He flushed and slowly made his way to the couch and curled up in Corbyn's arms. "Is your stomach okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine now. I just need to sleep," Jonah muttered.
