I Love You Now and Forever

Chapter 5

Adrien:

Class was over and I walked up to Chloe before she left.

"Hey Chloe?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you wanna go out with me?"

Chloe looked at me like a said something really offensive.

"Are you kidding me Adrien? Ugh as if!"

She stormed out of the room. I was still trying to process what happened. Why didn't she want to go out with me? Aren't I famous? Aren't I popular? I'm pretty good looking if I did say so myself. But why didn't she want me?

I shook it off, hoping no one saw because it was embarrassing. She better not tell anyone and embarrass me.

Chloe:

I stormed out of the classroom angry. I didn't know Adrien was a cheater. How could he do that to Marinette? She was my friend.

I don't want to hurt her so I just won't tell her for now. But if he tries other stuff I'm going straight to Marinette. I mean I'm not going to lie, I did have feelings for Adrien. But those all went away once he started dating Mari. Plus, I'm with Luka. And I'm happy.

Marinette:

I waited for Adrien at the entrance after school like I always did. I saw him coming out so I ran up to him.

"Hey Adrien!" I said while nudging him on the side.

He looked at me like he was uncomfortable. It was weird. I tried to lighten up the mood by asking him how his day was.

"How's the first day back?"

"Horrible. I got completely embarrassed."

"What happened?"

"Nothing, it doesn't concern you."

I stopped walking as he kept moving. Adrien's never acted like this before. I shook my head and ran up to catch up with him.

"Um okay, sorry. Wanna hangout today? We can do my place if you'd like."

"Can't. My father wouldn't like that."

"Your dad loves me! Come on!"

"I have to go."

He walked away not even bothering to look at me. Is this some kind of joke? I stood there not even realizing I wasn't moving. I felt a tear slowly roll down my cheek, seeing him get smaller and smaller in the distance.

I walked home and went straight to my room. I pulled out the little ladybug charm he got me on our one year anniversary. I got him a matching cat charm. As they say whoever has the two will stay together forever. I wondered if he still had his.

Adrien:

I got to my room and sat on my bed. I thought Marinette was nice, turns out she's so annoying. Nathalie went inside my room, handing me a box.

"Those were all your things in your car that you had during the accident."

I looked inside the box. There was nothing really interesting. Just some spare change, coupons, and a pack of gum. One thing did catch my eye though.

A little black cat charm.

I picked it up and looked at it.

"Where'd I get this? It's cool."

"That's from Marientte."

Marinette? Why was everything Marinette? Was she some kind of stalker or something? I threw the charm back into the box as I had no interest in it anymore.

"Thanks Nathalie." I said while laying down on my bed. She left the room and I was staring at my ceiling.

I looked on my phone and went to Marinette's contact. I looked through our messages and they were pretty normal. There was some flirting but I just thought that it was my personality.

I noticed the most recent text we had. It was dated almost 3 weeks ago.

<Mari> "haha, pay attention to driving!"

Pay attention? Was I on my phone? Is that why I got into an accident? I was texting Marinette so she's probably the reason I'm like this. If she wasn't annoying me like she always is, I'd probably be normal! She ruined my life. As of right now, I'm not talking to Marinette.
