SUMMER OLYMPICS

Iris' POV

"Are those the young Elites?"

"Omg! We're so lucky to be here!"

"Wow. They all look hot!"

"I can't stop looking at them!"

I nervously nibbled the straw of my juice cup and lowered my head as people started staring at me and my friends. I'm still trying to get used of being the center of attention. Hindi kasi talaga maaaring hindi kami mapansin ng mga tao tuwing magkakasama kami. Our guy friends are all handsome and tall while my girl friends are gorgeous and sexy. Parang mga model na naglalakad kaya naman malilingon mo talaga.

I sometimes ask myself why I'm part of this group. They are all strong-minded while I'm always hesitant and undecided.

"Chin up, Iris. Enjoy the spotlight," bulong sa akin ni Caylee sabay kapit sa braso ko. I smiled and nodded. Iniangat ko ang tingin ko sa mga tao ngunit agad namula ang mga pisngi ko.

Is it really necessary to take pictures and videos of us? Hindi naman kami mga artista. It is our parents who are wealthy and powerful, not us.

Naglakad na kami papunta sa VIP lounge kaya naman nakahinga na 'ko ng maluwag nang hindi na kami masundan ng mga tao. Once inside, I immediately took a seat and placed my juice cup at the table.

"Tingnan niyo 'to. May nagabot sa'kin ng number niya. Do ya'll think I should call her?" tatawa-tawang tanong ni Rios sabay upo sa tabi ko.

Kiel took a seat at my right side. "Is she pretty?"

"Makinis, bro! Laki pa ng hinaharap bwahahaha!"

I groaned and so are the other girls. "You guys are disgusting," pagrereklamo ko.

Rios and Kiel, or known as the 'duo', are both chick magnets. Kahit saan sila magpunta, hindi pwedeng hindi sila mapansin ng mga babae.

Si Zin parang nagagaya na rin sa kanila. Ever since he broke up with his ex-girlfriend, and stayed single for a year, he has focused on building himself up. He worked out and changed his look. Now, I sometimes see him talk with random girls at school. Nagiging chickboy na rin.

Sila Theo at Evan naman, hindi ko matansta kung malandi din ba katulad ni Rios. They throw dirty jokes like the duo but I seldom see them date anyone.

Si Asher ang tingin kong hindi maloko. He's an easygoing person who makes everyone laugh by his slow-mindedness. 'Di ko nga alam kung biro lang ba ang pagiging walang alam niya o kung totoo bang ganun nga siya. Either way, he's a good person.

Lahat naman sila mababait, sadyang may mga kalokohan lang.

"Ang tanong ni Kiel ay kung maganda ba daw, hindi kung malaki ba ang hinaharap. So stupid." Ava even rolled her eyes at Rios.

"Tolerable. Okay naman. Ano, tawagan ko ba?"

"Just shut it already. The game's about to start," Caylee hissed, making Rios chuckle.

"Yes Ma'am!"

Tumayo na kaming lahat nang binuksan ni Evan ang glass door papunta sa VIP seats namin. Na-excite agad ako dahil first time kong makaupo sa section na ito ng stadium.

Isang beses pa lang akong nakakapunta dito at 'yun ay nung bata pa ako. My Dad brought me and my sister to watch a football game before, pero regular tickets lang ang binili niya noon. He's a lowkey person kasi. He doesn't like to flaunt to the world how rich he is. Until now, he's like that. Makikita mo na lang siya nagko-commute pa minsan. It's my Mom who's boastful and proud of who we are.
