BLISS

Iris' POV

"What are you doing?" Ate Irene curiously asked.

"Trying out these new dresses Mom bought for me the other week."

She sat at the chair in the corner and stared at me. "Why? Going somewhere?"

I smiled. "Dashiell invited me over dinner at their house tonight. He said it's his Mom's idea. Nabalitaan daw kasi ng Mama niya ang ginawa niya nung soccer game and since wala naman siyang planong itago ang relasyon namin ay nagkuwento na siya sa nanay niya tungkol sa'kin."

Ate grinned and stood up to inspect my new clothes. "I'm glad to know he's really serious about you. Meeting the parents agad e kakasagot mo pa nga lang sa kanya last month."

Sumandal ako sa isa sa mga cabinet ko at ngumisi. "Yeah, he's such a sweetheart. Hindi pa nga rin ako makapaniwalang kami na nga talaga..."

These past couple of weeks had been nothing but pure bliss.

Ngalay na nga ang bibig ko dahil wala akong ibang ginawa kundi ngumiti nang ngumiti.

Dash and I are finally free to show the world that we're in love. We always hold hands and most of the times, he'd kiss my hair or my cheeks whenever we're on our date. I'm starting to get used to it.

We see each other every chance we get. And even though we're almost always together, it still feels like it's not enough. Gusto kong palagi ko siyang kasama. Ganun ako kabaliw sa kanya.

"Okay, save it. Ayokong mapakinggan lahat ng nakakakilig na ginagawa niya sa'yo." She even acted as if she's going to vomit. I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

"Can you just help me decide? Please?"

"Sure. Sukatin mo na 'yang mga 'yan."

I beamed and immediately grabbed the next dress on the racket.

It's a floral babydoll dress with white colar, black bow and puffy sleeves from Saint Laurent. I put my hair in a messy bun before showing my look to my sister.

She stood up and asked me to turn around. Then she shook her head.

"You can wear that on a date but definitely not for tonight's occasion. You don't want your future mother-in-law to get the impression that you're too young for her son."

"Oh. Okay." Kinuha ko na ang kasunod na dress at sinuot iyon.

It's a salmon pink Moire Jacquard mini dress by Alessandra Rich. I love the puffy long sleeves and the feeling of the silk fabric on my skin.

"How about this? I think it's decent..."

"It is. Maganda naman. But I feel like you could do better. Try this one."

Kinuha niya ang pangatlo sa huli at pinagpalit ulit ako.

She handed me a white and black mid-length dress from Dior.

"Don't you think it's a little weird that Mom hasn't asked you yet about Dash?" rinig kong tanong ni Ate habang nagbibihis ako.

I froze for a second. "Yeah. Ang weird nga."

There is no way she won't know about it. It's all over the internet.

"Baka dahil kasi busy pa siya," I added. My parents are both out of the country right now.
