BLIND DATE

Damian's POV

"Ikaw na!"

"Anong ako na? Idea mo 'to pre!"

Tahimik akong nagbabasa ng libro nang mapansin kong dahan-dahang naglalakad palapit sa akin sila Art at Silva. Nagtatalo sila at nagtutulakan. When they noticed that I'm staring at them, they stopped and just stood there. Maya-maya ay parehas na silang sumandal sa study table ko.

Ano na naman kayang kalokohan ang pumasok sa mga isip nila?

"Busy ka 'tol?" panimula ni Silva.

I yawned and closed the book. "Oo."

Silva and Art looked at each other and quietly argued. Parang mga tanga 'tong mga 'to.

"Ano ba kasi 'yon? Sabihin niyo na," inis na utos ko.

Art smiled wickedly. "Well we hooked you up with a hot chick."

Napaupo ako mula sa pagkakahiga ko dito sa kama. "What did you just say?"

"You're getting boring, dude," pagtawa naman si Silva. "You need this."

I grabbed my pillows and threw it on both of them. Humalakhak silang dalawa at parang mga batang umiwas.

"F*ck you both! Cancel it. I'm not going."

"I can't. I don't have her number," Art admitted. "I kind of just told her you want to meet her right now. Actually, she's already waiting for you."

I groaned and stood up. Napahakbang patalikod si Art kaya tawang tawa si Silva. "I don't care. I said, cancel it."

Silva patted my shoulder. "But you'll never forget about Paris if you don't go out there."

Natigil ako sa sinabi niya.

Paris? As in Irene?

My dreams of her vanished during the Holidays after I got distracted from my family staying here for two weeks. Kung saan saan kami pumunta at nilibot ko pa sila dito sa Melbourne kaya halos hindi ko na naisip pa si Irene. School also made me busy for the last few weeks.

So what makes my friends think I'm still waiting on her? May hindi ko na nga siya nababanggit.

"It's not like we're asking you to be enter a relationship. Ang amin lang, gusto na namin ibalik ang dating ikaw. Maglibang ka lang, bro. Nagaaalala na kasi kami sa'yo. You rarely go out with us. Panay aral ka na lang."

"That's because I want to graduate---"

"No sh*t. Kaya mong maka-graduate kahit hindi ka nagaaral."

They're being unreasonable.

"Bro, just do us this favor and we'll leave you alone after today. We promise," Art pleaded, pushing me towards my bathroom. "Sige na bro, maligo ka na at bilisan mo. Wag mong pinaghihintay ang ka-date mo."
