"Scott, Malia and Lydia are going out to Canaan," I explained to Hayden and Liam as we walked down the hall together. "He said to go through with the plan as long as it doesn't destroy our house."
"What plan?" Hayden asks in confusion.
"Your plan," Liam responds nonchalantly.
"I don't have a plan," she says taken back.
"He means the ones we were discussing about the lightening rod," I remind her from the conversation we had last night over the phone.
"That was a terrible idea," she scoffs.
"Not the worst one we came up with though," I reassure her with a shrug.
"Great. Let's do it," Liam claps his hands together
"We need to break into the faculty storage room," Hayden noted.
"We'll just get Erik to come with us," I remind her of our principle. She nods and we continue to walk to class.
-
"Do you have the list?" Erik asked as we followed him into the supply closet.
"It's in my head," Hayden answers.
"What if you forget something?" Liam questions her.
"We're vampires," Erik reminds him. "We remember everything."
Erik let the three of us walk in and he closes the door behind us making sure no one saw. Hayden and I begin grabbing the supplies we need while Erik and Liam look around.
"Can't we just buy a lightning rod?" Liam asks.
"Sure," I sarcastically smile. "If you've got $2,500."
Hayden chuckles and we make our way around the corner only to see her and Liam's Physic's teacher, Mr. Douglas, working on a weird wired project.
"What are you doing here?" He asks standing up. "This is faculty only."
"They're with me," Erik speaks up from behind us.
"What are you doing?" I ask glancing over at tis weird contraption. "Plugs and wires? Are... Are you making a Taser?"
Gathering his stuff, he chuckles walking around the project.
"No, no, no, of course not," he reassures.
"You saw them, didn't you?" Liam questions him.
"Aren't they supposed to be in class?" The Mr. Douglas asks Erik who held his hands up in surrender.
"Was it the night of the lacrosse game?" Liam steps forward. "You saw the lightning, the men, and the horses?"
"Dozens of them," He answers softly.
"Then what?" Erik asks crossing his arms across his chest.
"It was chaos," he answers truthfully. "They were everywhere. Some of the kids were running. But for everyone else it, it was like there was nothing there. They couldn't see a thing."
"We did," I respond lowly. "And we've got a lot more to tell you if you really wanna fight back."
-
I spread out a map of Argent's bunker across a lab table showing Mr. Douglas and Erik our plan.
"The lightning strikes the rod, which sends the bolt down into the tunnel," Hayden begins to explain. "We grab the Ghost Rider push him into the bunker, and we trap him there."
