Untying the laces to my pointe shoes, I slip them off and place them in my bag, pulling out some grey sweatpants to put over my light pink tights. Gag.

I finally finished my ballet class, with Erik's approval of course. Checking my phone, I see a snap notification. Grinning ear to ear, I unlock my phone and press on the snap.

Stiles appeared on my screen as he spun around in his seat showing me the room he was in. Other teenagers scowled at him as he interrupted their studying. I chuckled as the video came to end with him dropping his phone.

Classic Stiles, I missed him. I send him a snap of me holding a thumbs up and shut my phone off, tossing it in my bag.

"You ready?"

Picking up my bag, I swing it over my shoulder sighing.

"I guess," I mumble getting up and walking up to my mentor.

"It was your last day of ballet, cheer up!" Erik wraps an arm around my bare shoulders shaking me lightly.

"Whatever."

As we walked out of the studio, we came face to face with someone I did not want to see. Not because I hated them, disliked them, or even found them annoying.

But because I missed him.

"Come on," Erik whispers guiding me in the opposite direction leading us to the student parking lot. Glancing over my shoulder, I see him still staring. My heart leaps in my chest, and it takes everything within me not pry in and give myself the satisfaction to know what he's thinking.

She still looks so bea-

I tune it out, and turn back to the road in front of me.

"You guys still haven't talked since that night?" The eldest vampire asks me as we make our way his truck.

"No," I mumble staring straight ahead. "We went the whole summer without speaking to each other."

"Amanda-"

"Let's go get some lunch, I'm starving," I cut him off plastering a smile on my face hopping into the grey vehicle. I hear Erik sigh but follow suit starting the car.

Walking through my front door, I hang my bag on the hook and remove my white sneakers leaving me in my ankle high white socks.

"Mom?" I called out. "Scotty?"

Silence. No familiar scents. Except one, I knew exactly where he was. Flitting up to my room, I see him sitting in my bean bag chair in the corner reading my novel of the week 'A Walk to Remember.'

I go to sit by the boy, peeking over his shoulder to see he was at the part where Landon realizes how beautiful Jaime is during the play and he admits to her with all of his heart.

"Funny hm?" I ask criss crossing my legs.

"What?" The boy asks turning to me, his blue eyes boring into mine.

"How a person's feelings can change within just a split second," I smile sadly staring at the page.

"No kidding, he yells at her the day before then just calls her hot the following day," he snorts placing his bookmark at the end of the chapter.
