(My Tears Are Becoming A Sea - M83)

Liam sat on my bed scrolling through his phone as I rummaged through my drawers for clothes. I sighed in frustration, unable to find anything that fit or looked okay since I haven't been able to do laundry due to all the chaos.

Finally settling on black fish nets, jean shorts, and an Aerosmith band t-shirt, I tie up my black combat boots but feel like something's missing from my attire. What is it?

I begin to go through my dresser again, searching for my missing item.

"What are you looking for?" My boyfriend asks noticing my frantic behavior.

"I don't know," I mumble trying to look for the certain clothing piece. "I'll know it when I see it. I always wear something over this shirt."

"Your leather jacket?" Liam guesses sitting up in his spot. I shook my head closing all of my drawers.

"No, and not a sweater either," I frown at the outfit again.

Ripping my closet doors open, I shuffle through my articles of clothing until I see it. Once again, I feel a sense of familiarity with this item. A red flannel hung loosely on a hanger, and I knew it wasn't mine nor Liam's.

I slowly pulled it off the hanger and scanned the black checkered pattern. Bringing the cloth to my face, I take a deep whiff of the shirt and fall to my knees as memories began to flood my mind.

I sat outside on the porch hugging my knees staring at my dark screened phone that I just set down.

The wind rustled making my loose stray curls fly backwards, the tears in my eyes stinging.

"Hey, I was gonna pick up- Are you okay?"

I hurriedly wiped away my tears, adjusting my body so he couldn't see my face.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine, what's up?" I sniffled wiping my tear stained face with a tissue.

"What happened, Amanda?" Stiles asked softly coming to my side. I couldn't help but immediately turn to my brother's best friend and lay my head on his shoulder.

"Nothing, Liam and I just got into it but it's fine, I'm fine," I smiled sadly.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked sincerely.

"No, we're okay now just getting passed it," I sighed softly rubbing my nose against his red flannel slightly shivering from the December air.

"Here," Stiles shrugs off his long sleeved flannel and holding it out for me. I gratefully slip my arms into the sleeves, snuggling into the warm fabric.

I loop my arm through Stiles's arm so he wouldn't be cold.

"What am I gonna do when you're gone?" I huffed clutching his shirt. "You guys are leaving me alone."

"Hey," Stiles makes me look at him. I sniffled staring up at the boy who watched me grow up with red swollen eyes.

"You'll always have me and Scott, you're not alone."

"Amanda!"

Shaking my head, I begin to focus on another memory.

Stiles sat behind me, his arms crossed over mine as I took deep breathes attempting to calm down from the anxiety attack I was having.
