"Wow."

"I know."

More hunters. Who would've thought. I mean seriously, can't we just catch a break? Why does someone always want to kill us?

Oh, wait. Yeah, never mind that was kind of a stupid question.

"Have you talked to Argent yet?" I asked my older brother staring down at the silver bullet.

"Not yet, Malia, Lydia, and I were gonna go look for him today," my brother explained removing the bullet out my palm. I nodded.

"I'll come with you guys," I suggested standing up from our couch.

"You should stay here," Scott responded rather quickly. I frowned cocking my head back in surprise.

"Why?" I question crossing my arms over my chest.

"You have school Amanda," he chuckles.

"So did you," I retort rolling my eyes. Scott sighed slinging his arm around my shoulder and turning us towards our front door.

"You're going to school, the three of us got this," he pushed as he handed me my school bag and car keys. I pouted taking my stuff from his hands.

"Loser," I muttered.

"Love you too!"

Plopping myself next to Mason, I bring my sunglasses down my face to shield my eyes from the sun. Lori greets me with a small wave and smile. I return the same motions.

"Well look who came out of hiding," Mason smirks. The sun shone nicely over the field of running boys, the rays softly hitting my almost bare shoulders.

"Maybe I missed you," I shrugged a small grin playing on my lips. I couldn't help but notice how quickly Liam's head turned to the sound of my voice. Brett seemed notice his reaction too.

"I've missed you to," he smiles nudging my shoulder with his.

'We've all missed you. Especially him.'

My smile faltered for a second at the image of a torn Liam in the locker room that came across Mason's mind. Every memory of a heartbroken Liam ran through his mind making my slow beating heart ache.

He was hurting just as much as I was. Even though I don't like to admit it, it still hurts.

"Corey's been practicing all summer to play goalie," Mason mentions. "He's actually gotten really good!"

The sound of grunts catches our attention as we watch Corey tumble back into the net.

"The season doesn't start for at least a week," Brett's sister assures the goalie's boyfriend.

"Thank God," Mason exhales. I chuckled at his reaction. The three of us watch as the two betas challenge each other and basically destroy Corey. We wince at the crunch sound coming from all three of the boys in goal.

"Um, was that Liam, Brett, or Corey?" Mason cried looking away.

"Pretty sure that was all of them," I guessed seeing all three boys slowly get up. The two betas head bud each other, Liam huffing in anger causing me to focus in on their conversation from the field.

"You're losing it, dude," Brett points out to the angered beta. Liam huffed as the taller beta ran back to the middle of the field positioning himself.

As Brett ran towards the goal, Liam beat him to it knocking him over his shoulder causing everyone to wince at the harsh landing. Brett stood up standing up against Liam.
