Meghnath's POV-
*deep breath* Okay confidence. Hi. Now smile. *smiles* Not like a creep. Like a charming smile. Oh god. I don't even know how to smile...I need some serious lessons from Mom. Forget the smile focus on the text. Hi. I am Meghnath. I was born to Lankesh...oh shit...I can't say I am from Lanka. She is a Vishnu Bhakt. She will think I am evil and she will never talk to me. I will now have to edit my Introduction paragraph. I can't believe I literally wrote down my Intro and am practicing it like I am in kindergarten.
Pyaar mein papad belne pade han. But this is unacceptable. The Crown prince of Lanka, The invincible Meghnath...not knowing how to introduce himself to a girl.
Focus. She might be here anytime. Hi. I am Meghnath and I am an expert in killing people and conquering lands. Okay that sounded much less brutal in mind. Delete that. I am invincible. No one can defect me. Now that sounds egoistic. Arggg....idk. Enough. I am done trying. I will just tell her all about me as I am. No filters. If she likes me for who I am then well and good... otherwise....she will like me for who I am, she is such an amazing person. But where is she?
Meghnath's POV ends
_____________________________Meghnath stormed in the courtyard where little serpents were playing. Being a princess, she would come here to spend time with her subjects. She was not there.
He checked the secret cave Sulochana told him about earlier. She wasn't there either.
He peeked into the swing area. That swing was made by her father Vasuki. She would come there when she missed him. But she was not there.
Meghnath held his head in his hands out of frustration. He couldn't find her anywhere. She herself put forward the idea of meeting today again and now she is gone. Meghnath's warrior mind kicked in. He must search the place he last saw her. Where Prahasta told his story. That's where he met her. Oh! The banyan tree. He rushed towards it like his life depended on it.
It was a very different sight from what he saw last night. Since no one was telling any stories, there was no hustle and bustle. Not a single person in sight. Thanks to the silent atmosphere, Meghnath could hears slashes of sword very clearly. He was a great warrior himself, he would recognize that sound from anywhere. It was coming from a pathway that lead to a cave. Oh Naglok was filled with caves. Wait! Is that the same place Sulochana popped in from yesterday. It indeed is. She was wearing warrior clothes yesterday. Could she be inside? Only one way to find out.
_____________________________Sulochana was in the training grounds. She would very often go there but she never stayed there. Nobody stays in the training grounds, and right? But this time she went in last night and never came back. She didn't rest at all. She wasn't in the position to show her face to anyone. She wanted cry alone. She wanted to unleash her angry. She fiercely swayed her sword. Sulochana was never a aggressive fighter...she had learned warfare only for her defence. But now she looked like a demoness who growls angrily at anything and everything. She wasn't the gentle, talkative, kind Princess anymore. She was a wounded soul that demanded answer. But her answer were with that cheater Meghnath. And she wouldn't, in any universe, go to him ever again.
Sulochana was so lost in her own world that she didn't hear footsteps in the cave. Meghnath saw her and breathed a sigh of relief. There she was. All her hair was neatly tied in a bun. She wore no jewellery and her clothes were simple cotton. She looked like a angry tigress ready to pounce on her prey. Meghnath stared at her with baby eyes that said 'She still looks cute.' He can't miss this golden opportunity. He quickly took off his crown and necklaces and set them aside. He held his sword in his hand and stared at it thoughtfully. He was never defeated before. He had the title of 'Invincible'. But that doesn't mean he will hurt her. He won't just let her win but he had to be careful not to hurt her in his passion for victory.
