Tsuie's fox mask ^^^

Also just a small note, for some reason I was feeling idk something when writing this chapter so there's a lot of my voice- er uh thoughts? Thrown in there, so yeah watch out for that.

Another thing? Flashbacks. Lots of flashbacks.

Tsu-Lyn fumbled with the mask as she tied it around her head, long and messy hair braided and put up in a bun. (Thanks to Katara.) Once it was tight enough it wouldn't fall down she jogged back up to the group who found a small info pillar. Nothing she could do about her clothes, though. Still nice Fire Nation silk-which would be exchanged for green and brown when they got to the next Earth Nation village.

She felt a chill up her neck and looked around for someone, but nope. Not a person in sight besides those she was traveling with. Tsuie shrugged it off to listen to Katara, "This should give us a good idea of what's around here."

Sokka rummaged through their food pouch, finding it empty, "See if you can find a menu. I'm starving."

"I bet we can find something to eat here!" Aang pointed to the poster on the pillar, "The Fire Days Festival."

"The Fire Days-" Tsu-Lyn rushed over to read it, sure enough it's the place she got the mask. How oddly coincidental.

"You know it?" He excitedly asked her.

"Uh, yeah..." Her fingers traced the edge of the fox's cheek, then to the pink ribbon strewn across one tassel, "I know it."

"Wooah!" Tsuie jumped around, looking at the masks on people.

She tugged on the Prince's sleeve and pointed at the mask stall, specifically a white fox with red and green accents, "Zu! That one's so pretty!"

"Stop calling me that," he clicked his tongue.

"You rejected Princey too! You gotta choose!" she pouted, taking her favored choice into her hands while he took a blue... ogre?

"Nei--ther."

"But-"

"Just call me my name."

Tsuie stuck her tongue out and grabbed a dragon mask for Iroh when he joined back up with them, "That's so boring! Nicknames are so much more fun and personal! Don't you wanna be friends?"

Zuko sighed, "Not really."

"Now be nice, Prince Zuko," Iroh came in behind them. "I know it's only been a month since we took Tsuie in, but she is going to stay with us."

"So we've gotta be friends!" She placed the dragon mask on Iroh and looked to the Prince, "Why that mask? It's so not cute."

"It-" Zuko paused. He wasn't just going to tell her it reminded him of his mother. Not like she needed to know, "It doesn't matter, does it?"

"Eh, not really!"

"Do you think I could study some real Firebenders?"

"Definitely, but I really don't-"

Sokka, who looked at a different side of the pillar interrupted, "You might want to rethink that. Look at this."

"Hey, a poster of me!" Aang took the poster off to look at it.

"A wanted poster. This is bad."
