Chapter 19

DANA'S POV

"DANA! Oh my god!" Jessica, David, and Cole bursts out of the school doors interrupting the sweet moment I was waiting weeks to have with Magda. Magda quickly stands up as they stomp over to us.

"What are guys doing?" Cole demands.

"Oh h-hey guys we were just umm..." Magda starts.

"Dana what were you doing out here with this slut?" Jessica wrinkles her nose.

"Excuse me?" Magda shoots back.

"Magda I was getting you some punch, why'd you leave the table?" David asks.

"We were just talking. Calm down." I say, putting his hands signaling everyone to stop talking.

"You know what? I knew it. I knew that this skank would try to steal you away from me." Jessica pulls me closer to her. "Listen here hoe, Dana is mine. Got that? He doesn't want your trailer trash looking-"

"Trailer trash? Who are you calling trailer trash?" Magda crosses her arms.

"Obviously you bitch."

"That's enough Jessica." I say.

Jessica ignores me and continues. "I mean it's not like Dana would ever fall for you. You're ugly, dirt poor, and..well...a nobody."

"I said that's enough!!" I snap raising my voice at her. "I'm so sick of hearing your voice. Just shut the fuck up for once! Jesus!"

"Excuse me? I don't believe that's how you're supposed to talk to me."

"Well I don't care. I don't like you, no one in the school really likes you they just like you for your money and I was forced to ask you to the dance because the guys thought IM5 would get a record deal from one of your dad's companies if we started dating but I'd rather never get signed to a record label and only make covers on YouTube for the rest of my life if it meant I wouldn't have to hear your mouth ever again!!"

Cole, David and Magda stare at me in utter disbelief.

Jessica's expression changes from shocked and hurt to angry. She glares at me and opens her mouth as if she's going to hit me with one of her annoying insults. But she shuts her mouth again instead, storming back inside the school.

As soon as she leaves Cole bursts out laughing. Then Magda and David joins in and we soon are all cracking up.

"Bro you told her!" Cole says wiping tears from his eyes.

I smile at him. It felt pretty good to get that off my chest.

"Let's go back into the dance now." David then says grabbing Magda's hand. Magda looks over at me, biting her lip.

"Wait David?" I call out. I still need to establish what Magda and I are. I want her to be mine so bad, I'm tired of waiting.

David turns back to me. "What?"

"Can I um keep Magda for a bit? We still need to talk about something." I ask him kind of shyly.

"But we still have to take pict-"

"Let them talk bro. C'mon." Cole says suddenly, interrupting David.

"But Magda is my date!" Cole ignores David's protests and drags him back into the school.

Magda walks back to the bench we were sitting in before and plops down. She pats the spot next to her. I quickly go join her.

"Sooo." I sigh.

"Sooo." She mimics me.

"What...you know...are we?"

She shrugs, playing with her fingers in her lap.

"What do you want to be?"

She looks up at me, her face glowing from the moonlight.

"Yours."
