Chapter 28

MAGDALENA'S POV

"Whoa so let me get this straight. Officer Ben, the one that took you from us, is Jessica's uncle?" Dalton asked for like the seventh time.

"Yeah." I sigh from the passenger seat of his car. "Crazy huh?"

After Officer Ben and the devil finally went home and Aunt Beth went to bed I packed up all of my belongings and waited for Dalton to come. At exactly 9 o'clock pm he pulled up in the driveway. He threw rocks at my window to get my attention. After sending down my bags I hopped out of the window (the house is one story so I got to the ground safely) and now we're on our way back to his house.

"Crazy? More like she told her uncle about you living with Dana on purpose just so you'll have to go live somewhere else."

My eyes widen. "Dalton!" I exclaim hitting him on the arm.

"Ow! What'd I say wrong?"

"No you said everything right! That would make perfect sense why I got taken away from you guys! Dude how'd you think of that?"

Dalton shrugs. "I'm brill." He says in a British accent and grins at me.

He finally pulls up into the familiar driveway in front of a large white house.

"I really missed it here." I sighed as Dalton carried bags inside.

We crept upstairs into my old bedroom careful not to wake any of the boys up because it was almost 1 am.
To my surprise my room is exactly the way I left it.

"Thank you Dalt. You're the best." I hug him.

"No problem sis. Goodnight."

"Night."

"Holy shit it's Magda!!" A voice whisper-yells bringing me out of my sleep. I'm guessing Will?

"Shhh! You're gonna wake her!" Another voice replies. Definitely Dalton's voice. I keep my eyes closed, listening to the conversation.

"Oh boy. Wait till Dana finds out she ran away again. He's either going to be happy or pissed or both."

"True. Now let's go eat I'm starving."

Once I'm sure they're gone I open my eyes slowly. I smile when I realize I'm in my room. Not the crappy room at had at my mom's apartment. Not the prison like room at my Aunt Beth's house. My own room that IM5 plus Dalton so gladly gave me. Despite my miserable life with the lack of an essential immediate family, I feel so lucky to have the boys in my life. They're my best friends, my brothers, the only ones I'll ever need to lean on in a time of need.

I haven't seen or talked to any of them except Dalton since I got here last night so I hurry and take a shower to catch them before they leave to go to the studio.

Throwing on a pair of jeans and a T-shirt I let my wet hair hang lose around my shoulders. Then I tiptoe out of my room and walk slowly down the stairs.

"Oh come on Cole! Stop drinking straight from the milk carton. We all drink that you know!" I hear Will whine as I stand in the doorway of the kitchen.
A few minutes go by with no one noticing me standing there. Leaning against the door frame I watch the guys be their stupid selves, which of course is why I love them! First, Will keeps complaining about how they never save any maple syrup for him. Cole is drinking the milk straight from the carton, then he goes to the fridge and drinks the orange juice the same way. Dalton pours some milk into his bowl, then dumps the whole box of cereal in the bowl too. Gabe is just sitting there eating his breakfast, annoyed by the others. Lastly, Dana is taking a snapchat of him eating cereal.
Then Gabe glances in my general direction, his eyes widening as he does a double take.
"What the hell Magda?! Where did you come from??"

Everyone's head whips towards me.

"MAGS!" They all shout at once attacking me in a hug.

I giggle. "Good morning everyone."

They all let go from the suffocating hug except Will. He continues to squeeze me tighter, mumbling how much he missed me.

"I missed you too William." I say patting him on the back.

Then I notice Dana was the only one that didn't get up from his spot around the table.

His eyes are fixed on me though. For some reason I can't tell what he's feeling. He just has a solemn expression plastered across his face.

"Will you're suffocating her! Let her go!" Cole shouts bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Sorry." Will mumbles loosening his grip. "I just really really missed you Magda."

"I missed all you guys too! So much!"

"Come have breakfast with us!" Will pulls me towards the table.

"Dana say something to your girlfriend. You wouldn't shut up about how much you missed her and now you don't have anything to say to her?" Gabe says.

Dana looks at me again. He gets up out of his chair and walks towards me. We stare at each other for moment.

"C'mere." Is all he says as he grabs my waist and pulls me into a tight hug. Smiling, I close my eyes and rest my head against his chest inhaling his familiar boy scent of cologne and mint. We stand there for a while, enjoying being in each other's arms, swaying back and forth a bit. Finally he pulls back, cupping my face in his hands and looks deeply into my eyes.

"I missed you so much Magda. You have no idea." He whispers. Before I can even respond he leans down and kisses my lips sweetly. I smile into the kiss.

"I missed you too Dana." I reply as we broke away. I couldn't help myself from leaning up and kissing his soft lips again and again.

"Um could you guys not? We're trying to eat here." Dalton complains making a face.

I blush and giggle. "Sorry."

Dana and I join the rest of the guys around the table to finish breakfast. For the first time in forever I finally feel happy and content with my life. I am in pure bliss, nothing could ruin my mood right now.
