Chapter 21

MAGDALENA'S POV

The next morning I woke up with a pounding headache. Probably from all the crying and yelling last night. Today is Sunday so I think I'll just stay in my room all day.
I watch movies on Netflix for a few hours. Then I got bored and longed for human interaction. So I decide to Oovoo my friends Jenny, Alex, Arlene and Laura to bother them and see what they're doing.

"Hey!" I exclaim once we all connect to the call.

"Holaaa!" Laura says.

"What's up Mags?" Jenny greets me.

"Why'd you call me? I hate all of you." Arlene grumbles.

"Magda! It's been forever! How are you?" Alex asks.

"Arlene you love us!" I laugh. "I saw you guys on our last day at school...but anyways I'm doing okay I guess."

"Oh my gosh something happened." Jenny senses automatically. "What happened? Did Dana do something to you? Cause I swear if he did I'm going to slap him."

I laugh. "No Jenny. I just don't want to talk about Dana. Let's talk about you guys. How are all of you?"

They all stare at me blankly.

"But you're the one who lives with a hot boyband. Pretty sure I'd rather hear about your life." Laura says.
They all nod their heads in agreement.

I sigh. "Fine. So last night, Dana and I finally told the rest of the guys that we were dating and-"

"Woah wait wait! What?! You guys are dating finally?!!" Alex squeals excitedly.

"Oh yeah. I didn't tell you?"

"NO!!!" Arlene, Alex, Laura shout in unison.

"It happened at the dance." I explained.

"Oooh I was right! You owe me $5 Arlene!" Alex shouts.

Arlene rolls her eyes and mumbles some not so nice words.

"Why are you guys betting on my love life?" I ask.

"Why not?" Arlene returns.

"Okay shut up! Let Magda tell us what happened last night!" Laura says.

"Thank you. Okay so as I was saying, when we told the rest of the guys Gabe was a little angry but David was beyond pissed. He accused Dana of "fake being in love with me to steal me away from him" or whatever."

"Aww David was jelly!" Jenny says.

"So then everyone was yelling at each other." I continued. "I didn't know who to believe so I locked myself in my room and never came out since."

"Woah." Alex breathes. "Do you think what David says is true?"

I hesitate and bite my lip. "Um I don't know what to think at this point."

We're all silent for a while.

"You want to know what I think?" Arlene asks suddenly startling the rest of us.

"What?" I say preparing for her to insult me and the entire human race like she always does.

"I think you all are fucking idiots."

I roll my eyes. I knew it.

"I mean of course Dana loves you." She continues. "You're not even all that pretty so I don't know why he'd be faking it? David is acting like a fucking child. He needs to get over the fact that you don't like him like that and quit being a cry baby. And Gabe has no valid reason to not let you date Dana. Dana can do whatever the hell he wants to, he's 17! Gabe is just trying to save you from getting your heart broken even more than your mom already has when she kept neglecting you. But if you and Dana were really meant to be, he'd never break your heart. And any issues that you guys would have, could be solved just because of the amount of love you have for each other. So Magda just go up to Dana and forgive him and stop making a fucking big deal out of every little thing."
