[3rd Person POV]
During the night of the battle at the Red Light District, Shinobu continued her research within her lab, the rest of the Estate was dead asleep, and she ensured that no one would be able to accidentally walk in on her while working.
She's...working on a poison, something she had been doing for quite a while now, she is working to alter it so that it'd be possible for her body's constitution to accept it without any negative side-effects.
The Insect Pillar sighed, she had made a number of discoveries, including new formulas, but this is something that she cannot allow to go out, not only will the information pass between the demons, but the reactions of everyone at the Estate would prove to sway her from doing this. Especially a certain boy...
Oh, she had hoped to spare him of such information, despite the way he is able to control himself, he won't be able to accept this type of plan from Shinobu.
There was no way she could convince him, so she planned to keep him in the dark...as much as it knows how it would hurt, to her, it's already painful, having to carry something all by herself and not having anyone to share it with, not to mention the thought of keeping quiet until it was "time".
But she couldn't go back, not after years of research and tweaking her poisons, she just needs a little more help, more information, so it would lead to the desired results.
Shinobu yawned, the restless nights had started to catch up to her, and she was beginning to pass out. She had heard from Aoi earlier that The Kamaboko trio, Uzui, and Y/N had went to a District in order to slay a member of the Upper Moons, she had hoped that all of them makes it out alive, but due to it being an Upper Moon, it was unlikely.
She drank the tea that had gone cold, before setting the cup to the further side of the table. Her eyes went back to the papers in front of her, she wonders how long would it take for her to achieve results, once again looking back at the nights of fruitful research.
Taking off her hairpin, Shinobu had rested her head on the table, hoping to drive away the effects of drowsiness, but shutting her eyes in the process as she had been unsuccessful, then falling into a deep sleep.

.............................Y/N walked the quiet, but messy streets of the district. The boy held his chin as he still felt the pain of being shanked by a sickle dripping with demon poison or whatever gunk there was that it made it all the more painful.
Thankfully, Nezuko did her rounds of healing and that included Y/N, which closed off his wound, or else he'd have a hard time eating Shinobu's home cooked meals.
While he had been healed, the pain burned as if the wounds were still there, and it weighed heavily on Y/N, as he was slightly limping, making his way to the inn his sister was in.
He wanted nothing more than to pass out in their room, knowing his sister is still there with him.
Then...he heard a loud squawk.
"Saihara chan...?"
Y/N's eyes slightly widened, and he became distressed.Ignoring the pain he's currently in, Y/N breathed in and ran full speed.
He ran out of knives earlier, but he should be fine, I think...I mean, I dunno how Y/N is in hand-to-hand combat, the author doesn't let me know these things.
'I swear, if they so much as lay a hand on her...'
Y/N thought, already sweating bullets. He doesn't know what he'll do if he arrives too late, but he's sure that he'll break a rule or two, even a skull.
