Chapter 2

*3rd Person POV*

*THUD*

"Ow..."

Y/N rubbed his back after falling from a tall tree, the demon he's currrntly fighting is incredibly agile and is probably in the mood for trickery. Y/N could sense the other 5 waiting whilst constantly moving in the darkness, so Y/N devised a plan.

Letting himself get toyed around is only part 1 of his plan, but it's kinda painful though and he'll definitely be a little injured after this mission.

For him, this is a win-win situation. Why? Well, he likes it when Shinobu takes care of him. And he'll probably get rubber-ducky bandages for the small cuts he sustained.

Y/N felt himself get lifted up in the air again before being attacked with a what could be a deadly punch in the stomach.

He coughed up blood before he was sent back down to the ground, then the agile demon gathered momentum before heading straight for Y/N, which was a bad move.

Using his small wrist knives that's made with the same material as his blades, he puncutured the demon's neck and his various formulas and chemicals began kicking in.

The demon he struck was instantly paralyzed, it's body would spaz occasionslly, but that's just due to Y/N's new formula.

"I really should stop using this so much, demons keep passing information to each other that it's hard to make new formulas every time I go out."
Y/N muttered in irritation.

Upon standing up, he stared the paralyzed demon down, who's condition was worsening as time passed.

"Nishishi~" Y/N chuckled darkly as he lifted his dagger from it's sheathe while his mind raced with new ideas to make these creatures of hell suffer. It had been awhile since he lost himself to his own emotions.

Then he heard a whisper...

"Don't lose yourself to rage...don't lose sight of who you are..."

Y/N's eyes widened as he turned his around to find the source of the voice.

"K-Kanae...nee-chan..?"

He found nothing but air and a cold feeling of the wind's touch, his H/C hair flowed along with a small amount of tears.

Oh, how he missed that comforting voice...

Turning to the paralyzed demon below, he sheathed his dagger and unsheathed his Nichirin sword and killed the demon in one sweep.

And for some reason, his hands and arms didn't hurt this time.

But of course this moment of his will be interrupted by a few loose cannons.

Y/N turned around and parried 5 needles which were targetting the back of his head.

Then it rained hundreds above him, he was able to dodge and block due to his inhuman speed, though he noticed the sneak attack, he was unable to act on time since he was occupied.

It reached his stomach and pierced it successfully, even though none of his organs were touched, it sure hurt like hell.

It rained once again, this time twice as fast.

Y/N doubled his speed to match the needles and pulled out his dagger in order to fortify his defenses.

'These demons are cowardly, yet so troublesome...' he thought before being struck on his right shoulder and ankles.

He bit his lip in pain and pulled out the needles as an act of frustration and threw it on the ground childishly.

The boy could still sense the same 5 demons around the area, but they kept on moving to avoid being caught, then they suddenly stopped.
