Kidnapped at age 15

Chapter 2

Alex's pov

both me and Britt stood there in the door way confused as to why Max was there. We haven't seen him for a year so it was a bit surprising to see him standing there all of a sudden.

"w-why are you here? And how do you know where I live?" Britt asked coming down the last step.

"well, I came back in town soo I you know.. just thought I would come by and say hello and see how you two are doing." Max said and shrugged his shoulders like it was nothing.

"well.. come in.. I guess" Britt said in a form of a question rather then a statement.

Max smiled at her and walked in passed me and sat on the couch that was againt the window that had a view of the front yard. Britt skipped over to where she was sitting before and I just stood in my place awkwardly, waiting for someone to say something.. I had no idea what to do. the last time I saw Max was when he saved my life.. I honestly have no clue what to say or do in front of him.

"Alex.. are you going to sit down or stare off into space?" Britt asked me snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I-I suppose..."

I slowly made my way over to the couch that Britt was sitting on. Max stared at me and smiled.

"what?" I asked him making a disgusted face.

"nothing.. you just" he shook his softly and looked me up and down. "haven't changed"

"I have changed. I talk now, I stutter less..." I said rolling my eyes.

"alright then.. so can you please explain why your here?" Britt said to get to the purpose of him being here.

"well... like I said I just wanted to see how you guys are doing. you know I went to Alex's house first but no one was home so I came here next"

"well duh." Britt giggled. "I mean.. where else would you have gone?"

"I could have went and visited Jacob"

me and Britt both looked at each other. Britt seemed alret and a bit excited when she heard his name.

"hes out of the hospital???"

"no-"

"then why the hell would you want to go see him?" Britt snapped at him. Max looked hurt but then glared at her.

"I don't know maybe because he was in a coma the last ime I saw him and he was my best friend for who knows how many years and he saved my life numerous times and not only did he save me but he took his life for me.. he's basically my brother that is on the edge of death in a nastly, horrible hospital that he was to be stuck in without any company" max yelled at Britt.

That escalated quickly I thought to myself. Jacob started to cry from upstairs cutting the tention that was in the room at that moment. Britt shook her head before getting up and running upstairs to get the baby. I glared over at max and he gave me a confused look.

"why are you looking at me like that? shes the one that snapped at me first!"

"but that's the thing max, you don't just snap back at someone just because they snapped at you!" I said.

"no I don't!" he yelled at me.

"see! you just did it!" I said laughing in a bit of an angry manor.

"did not! shut the fuck up!" he said trying not to raise his voice this time.

I shook my head at him and got up from the couch..

"whatever" I muttered.

"you know max.. I don't understand why you even bother to come talk to us when you know your going to end up fighting the both of us or atleast one of us.." I turned around and faced him while crossing my arms. "you make simple conversations into arguments and you always turn them into physical fights, no matter who that person is.. you do it without a care in the world"

"well maybe if you people would just listen to me instead of making me want to pick a fight, then this sort of thing wouldn't happen!"  he said getting up and standing right in front of me.

"all we do is listen to you! and there really is no point to that cause all that comes out of your mouth is a ton of bullshit max!" I said shoving his shoulder.

"you wanna know what bullshit really is Alex?-" max asked in a softer tone.

"what? your life? uh we already know" I said smiling at him then glaring and rolling my eyes.

"nope.. this. us.. that's what bullshit is"

I gave him a really confused look.

"aaaand how is that?" I said giving him another confused look.

"beucase.. Alex I-I've been wanting to say something but never had the courage to say anything.."

max started to get closer to me so I started to back away slowly. Once I touched the wall I started to breathe really fast. I had no clue on what to do.

"i have always had this feeling but i never understood what it was until i practically saved you at the hospital" he said looking into my eyes.

"max stop- you don't know what your saying!" i told him sternly.

"i do Alex.. and ive known what it was for a very long time but i knew i would get in trouble if i ever said anything about it. But now i can, that Ryan kid isn't in the way anymore.."

I finally touched the cold hard wall and my heart started to race even faster. Max walked right up in front of me, i dont even think we were two inches apart. I could feel his warm breathe on my face as he still stared at me and pushed a piece of my hair behind my ear.

"i need to do this Alex. This feeling is real" max whispered to me.

Max leaned in really fast and kissed me fast but softly on the lips. He backed away and smiled at me before walking out the door.
