Alex's pov

It felt like we have been walking forever even though its only maybe been two hours or so. There was no light guiding us once soever besides the little flash light Luke brought with him. Luke was guiding us through bushes and tall trees. I had no idea where we were or where we were going. All I was hoping for is that Luke's dad hasn't figured out that we left yet. Running into him or Lizzie is the last thing I want to happen.

"Where are we?" I asked Luke quietly looking around me at the darkness of the trees and sky.

"This is a path me and my dad use to walk a few years back. We stopped because the path kept getting covered up by the leafs and we didn't want to get lost." Luke said turning his head slightly so that I could hear him better.

"So basically were just kind of wondering in the woods?" I asked getting a little more scared than I was.

Luke laughed. "I mean a little bit but I remember the path. There's this really big tree somewhere up ahead that we would always go to. It's not to far and we can put the tent up there."

I just nodded my head putting all my trust into him. I was scared beyond words to be out here and I really can't wait till we can just rest and hide in the tent instead of out here, vulnerable to anything out here. Vulnerable to Lizzie. All my over thinking made me not pay attention and I fell to the cold ground crushing a pile of leafs. Luke stopped and turning around quickly rushing to me.

"Are you okay? What happened?" Luke helped me sit up a bit.

"I think I hurt my ankle." I grabbed a hold of my ankle wincing in pain.

"The same one that's been hurting?" I nodded my head. "The tree is just through those bushes a little ways over there. I'll carry you the rest of the way okay?" Luke went to pick me up but I started shaking my head.

"You can't carry me, I'm to heavy for that" Luke gave me a crazy look.

"You to heavy? Are you serious? I can carry you all night and day without a problem"

"No, no I can do it" I said trying to get up myself. I leaned against a tree trying to get myself steady. I started to walk and fell right back down on to the ground in pain. I looked up at Luke who was crossing his arms waiting for me to admit I need him to help me. "Okay I think I need help"

Luke chuckled and picked me up with ease into his arms. I slowly wrapped my arms around his neck trying to not be awkward. I rested my head against his shoulder feeling exhausted.  I looked up at Luke, the light from the moon shining down onto his face. I took in his features.. I never noticed the small scar he had under his chin. I started feeling a fuzzy feeling in my stomach that I've only felt once before in my life and that was when I was getting close to Ryan. No. I can't think of Luke like that.. is it weird? Luke looked down at me catching on that I've been staring at him the whole way. A small smile starting to creep up on his face which made me look away and blush.

"So um.." Luke cleared his throat. "Were almost there. It's just a few feet away and then I'll give your ankle a look okay?" I just nodded my head from being to shy to say anything after being caught staring at him.

As we got closer Luke started to slow down a bit which concerned me a little.
