Kidnapped at age 15

Chapter 17

Alex's POV

"Stop!" I heard yelling right behind me. 

I ran into the nearest room I found which happened to be just a guest bedroom that was pretty small just a bed and in front of it was a wooden dresser with a mirror attached. I turned around and locked the door and slid down the door. What if he's just like her? What if she comes here and catches me?

"Alex open the door" I heard Lukes father yell from outside the door turning the door knob then knocking. 

"I told you to leave her alone" Luke said sounding a bit distant. 

"Get her to open the door then if you know her so well" I heard the heavy boots walk away which made me sigh in relief. 

I heard some noises outside then I slight movement of the door which told me Luke was leaning on the back of it just like me. I waited for a word to come out of him but there was nothing for a few minutes. 

"I know your scared and I know you must be thinking something god awful right now but he's not going to hurt you. He was only asking" Luke said softly.

"What... what if he's like her" I said with my heart beating fast just with thinking about it. 

"He isnt li-" 

"You may think you know someone but you don't. You could be as close as possible to that person but yet never know what they hide underneath them" 

"I see your point but my dad hasn't talked to her in years. She grew up as a druggie and run away when she was 14 and him 16.. he's always seen her in the news but never spoke to her of visited her while she was in jail" 

I sat there thinking about everything. I didnt know what to say. I stated my thought and I'm firmly sticking with it and nothing else. Trusting people is a big struggle for me it always has been thanks to her and others. 

"Can you please open the door for me?" Luke asked knocking slightly on the door.

I hesitated but unlocked the door and moved away. He opened it slowly and crawled in closing it behind him locking it again probably just so I feel safe and more comfortable. He sat criss-crossed staring into my damaged green eyes. I looked down so my hair fell in front of my face covering it from his stare. 

"We were never going to tell anyone by the way" I looked back up at Luke. 

"What were you going to do?" I asked confused. "It would make sense that you guys would call the cops or someone" 

"I wouldn't do that I understand she would be able to find you and then you guys would be in trouble once again" 

"Yea if she hasn't found the others yet.." I pulled my knees to my chest and looked out the big window. 

"Theres others?" 

"Have you not heard of anything about this? Its been all over the news." I asked looking back at him.

"I don't watch tv much and my parents shield me and my siblings from anything thats wrong with the world so we don't watch the news" 

"There's another girl and two boys but one of those boys are in a coma on deaths row. The girl Brittney and the other boy Max is out there in the woods somewhere I have no idea if their together or apart but all I do know is that we went in separate directions I ended up here and they ended up god knows where with god knows who" I said trying my best to explain it. 

"You want to find them?" Luke asked raising an eyebrow at me. 

"How? I don't know where they are and your dad wouldn't do that" 

"Who said he has to know" 

I looked up at Luke questioning whether he was playing or being honest about it. And by the way he was looking at me urging an answer out made me believe he was as serious as serious can be. It's a stupid plan.. we can get caught but if we do it i could find Britt and we can be safe together with no worries and just wait out until Lizzies caught. I rested my head against the wall thinking about the situation. 

"It's stupid.. we could get hurt or lost or in trouble its just flat out dangerous.. we can't" Luke looked at me in a shocking but understanding way. "Lets do it" 

Luke looked at me a bit terrified. I don't think he was expecting me to go along with it. 

"Really? Even if theres a chance we might run into her or something else thats just as bad?" Luke stood up pacing. I nodded my head. " Whats our plan?" 

"We can sneak out when your dads asleep and go. You can pack all the stuff we'll need like flashlights, a tent, food, water, possibly a first aid kit, things like that." 

Luke nodded his head. He kept pacing for a bit and finally sat down and said 'okay lets do it'. I smiled to give him a little support in this. 

"I'll come get you when its time" 

Luke stood up and walked out the door. I could hear talking when he got out there he better not blow it. I sat on the floor for maybe about 3 hours before there was three soft knocks at the door. I got up and opened it to find a heavy panting Luke with two hiking bags. One bigger than the other. 

''Okay so I got a tent, two flashlights with new batteries and I grabbed a pack just in case and I found a tent that will have room for the both of us, snacks and water I grabbed my first aid kit I bring with me when we go hunting and I brought you new clothes so you don't have to be in a dress anymore. It's my sisters hunting stuff" 

There was a white t-shirt with olive colored jeans and a black jacket and hiking boots. I walked over to the little closet and changed real quick while Luke sorted all the stuff into each bag. 

"So these bags strap around your stomach to keep them secure." Luke put mine on for me showing me how to buckle and unbuckle the straps. 

"You ready?" I asked walking out of the room and down the hall to the back door. Luke nodded his head nervously looking out the sliding glass door. 

"Hey, I'm just as terrified as you are. But I've fought her off before and I can do it again and this time I got strong and brave backup with me. We can do this" 

I put a hand on Lukes shoulder to get him to calm down. I was dying on the inside even after what I said. I'm scared beyond words.. I may have fought her off before but that doesn't mean it didn't end gracefully. Someone is going to get hurt and I really hope its not any of us. This is risky.. Thats all I thought walking out the door.. 

Here goes nothing.. I whispered to myself walking straight into the darkness of the night.

I'm sorry its been so long since i've updated I got distracted then kind of forgot to post but I'll try my best to finish this and not leave it for so long. Thank you for everyone who has been patient with me and this story I'm really trying
