Time sitting still, still
Boredom striking, brain dreary
Where is the ending? My foot drags a random thread
Carpet with fabrics of blues and reds
Crystal walls sparkling
I stand here looking ahead
Atween a humdrum stay and a busy day
WaitingPeople chatter amongst themselves
Voices thick with restlessness
Growing louder, time sits still
Knees bouncing
Feet stepping
Side to side
WaitingWorkers type on their computers
Munching a muffin
Crumbs drop to the table
Mess making
Occupied minds- time passing
The end growing closer
Still waitingLaughter and quiet voices
The end is drawing nearer
People now stand bored behind me
Fingers tap tap
Cellphones illuminating faces
Willing time to pass
I move forward in a blink
To end this busy wait
While the ones will wait behind me
Asking themselves "Where's the ending?"
Just to see, it's a lot closer than you think
