That will sit with you on dark nights
Like wind, whispering, this is not your end
Brutal days, in your corner keeping up the fight
Even I feel lost at times
Due to that- compassion shines
Sun kisses skin perfectly
A reason unneeded
Stuck on someone's ticking clock
Rich vitamin's lure going unheeded
Dragging on, tick-tock
Overwhelmed by longevity
In the sun, I wish to be free
Walking or leaping- at my own tempo
Moving, flowing; stuck-not in a limbo
Plenty of time for the friends I have chosen
At times, tide beautifully low
Nothing to stop this current in the ocean
Dreams of living life with my heart wide open
