Walking around in the compound garage and knowing that Paul let you see where it was located, made you smile. Due to the contrast of how Paul made a point of covering your face on the way out.

Walking hand in hand in the garage and through the door, they were shrouded in darkness.

"I take it no one is here?" you asked, as you felt his thumb move against your hand.

"No, probably sleeping, or not here at all. This is usually a meeting space for everyone. But there are rooms throughout in case we end up sleeping here." Paul answered as he went through hallways, weaving around, until he stopped at a familiar door.

His office.

He turned a key in the door and opened it up, flipping on the lights, as he let go of your hand, placing your duffel bag on one of the chairs.

"So where are we sleeping? Your office, cause I don't think those chairs would be too comfortable." you questioned, as Paul turned towards you and smiled, as he went to the back walls, which you realized where bookcases that lined the wall.

"Actually no, there is a bed." he said as he grabbed for a book on the shelf and a secret entryway opened up.

You picked up your bag, as Paul gestured for you to go first, as you walked through the passageway. And into a separate room all together.

A massive master bedroom with a flat screen a view of the city from the second floor that was breathtaking in the night.

"You have had this here all along and you didn't tell me about this? I mean this is better than my bed at the dorm." You said as you put your bag down on the ground and went to sit on the bed, bouncing on it as Paul chuckled watching you.

"It's here just for these kinds of situations. Rarely have I stayed here. Except the occasionally all-nighter where I was too tired to drive back home." Paul said as he turned toward a set of shelves opening them up and revealing clothes.

He pulled your bag closer over to him and started to take out your clothes and fold them in what he thought would be their respective spots. Which you noticed, as you took your shoes off and walked over to him. Hugging him from behind, and taking him by surprise as he stilled at your touch.

"I know it's like up and down constantly between us but thank you for this. You don't know what this means." you said as you went to grab pajamas from your bag and went to the bathroom to change.

--

Walking out of the bathroom, your eyes scanning the bedroom and not seeing Paul you went to lay down, feeling all the exhaustion of the emotions of the day hitting you. You laid down in the plush bed, pulling the covers over you. Turning on your side to face the window, your eyes slowly started drifting off to sleep. Just as you heard voices on the other side of the wall.

"I'm tired. I want to go to sleep. We can talk about this later." you heard, as you moved to face the wall that had the office on the other side, knowing that that was Paul.

"I'm just glad that you didn't come back with her," was said in return by someone else gruffly, and you knew that other person was talking about you.

"Bad enough you were interested in her enough to stop the interrogation. Now you're screwing her? Can't get it anywhere else at all." the response came, as you felt your chest tighten at those words.

Apparently there were people that didn't approve of you. Of course there are, You thought, as you sighed, moving over to face the window not wanting to listen to anymore of Paul's people talk back about you.

"It's like the sex has clouded your brain in forgetting who exactly she is to us. She's the daughter of our enemy. Not some girl off the street or those that just flock to guys like us. Or even a groupie. She's worse than all that. All because she knows about the life just as much as we do. Are you really sure that she won't go telling things back to him?" The question received no response, as a door slammed closed and you could hear Paul sigh on the other side of the wall. As the sound of the wall opening up was heard as he came into the room. Hearing a glass being set down at the other nightstand that was opposite the side you were laying on, feeling his weight on the bed as he went to lay next to you. Curling himself into your side, as his arm wrapped around your waist as he sighed.

"I don't care what anyone else says about you y/n. I care for you, dammit I love you. And I won't let anyone change how I feel about you. I'm not going to leave you like everyone has left you before." he said, as you tried to even out your breathing, making it sound like you were asleep.

Which was hard considering the fact that you were trying to hold yourself back from turning in his hold and kissing him for his declaration to you. Even if he did say it thinking you were asleep.
