Leading him around your campus, you showed him the expansive campus that stretched for miles. Showing him the places that you liked to go to.

"Now this one is my favorite." You said as you walked into the library and breathed in the scent. Of old books, but also vaguely reminding you of the water of the pirates of the caribbean ride.

"Breathing in musty air? I mean whatever floats your boat." You heard behind you, as you rolled your eyes.

"I take the last form of academics in high school?" you questioned as you walked passed the starbucks that Paul was stopping at.

"You don't want coffee?" he asked, as if it was a struggle to ask the question.

"Oh I had some this morning before seeing you but I guess we could stop if you're so caffeine deprived." You said, as you saw a genuine smile cross Paul's face as he went inside the little starbucks that your university had attached to the massive library. As he turned your eyes couldn't help but go down checking out his ass, all forms of coherent thoughts about your tour were gone in a second. Your mind turning into mush, as you watched him from outside ordering something and waiting patiently at the end of the bar. His eyes connecting with yours through the windows, holding eye contact.

His eyes are on you the entire time. Only breaking eye contact when the barista not only handed one coffee but two. You took the opportunity, as he was putting on the paper sleeves on both drinks to look away. Moving your body so that your back was now to the windows, trying to take a couple calming breaths.

You're giving him a tour of the campus. He's practically paying for your stay now. Don't get any ideas. You thought to yourself realizing you weren't trying to calm anxiety but the will to walk through that building and kiss him. That's what you wanted to do after all was kiss him.

That thought in and of itself just how much you craved attention, affection and understanding. Even from a family enemy no doubt. You shook your head, trying to free your thoughts from going further south. Noticing that your body was still humming from that eye contact.

Paul came out just a second later, walking up to you and handing you one of the coffees in his hand. You took it hesitantly, since you realized that you weren't watching him after you turned around. He could've put something in your cup with the slightest of hand.

"Got you one. Think you need the caffeine boost. Plus it seems fitting walked around here. This place oozes intelligence." Paul said with a smile towards you as he took a sip of his, gesturing for you to lead the way.

Sipping at it tentatively, you didn't detect anything off about the taste, as if you could have detected anything.

"I didn't put anything in it if that's what you're thinking. It's simply a peace-offering. For yesterday. An apology. That I lied. I forget myself sometimes. Always having to be a certain version of myself. But I couldn't help it. You are one of my rival's family members. I had to see what you do with given information. Also why I took you out for ice cream afterwards." Paul offered, as he walked alongside you as you navigated the expansive campus your eyes only on the destination. Behind the library there were sets of tables with coverings over them amongst plants.

Moving towards one, you went to sit down, as Paul sat down opposite you. Only looking up at you after putting his coffee cup down.

"You mean when you gave the ice cream attendant that probably got a berating from the owner for pissing off a mob boss because he talked back. All so you could impress me? Which didn't by the way." you said, looking down at the table, your fingers tracing the tables grooves and edges as you thought back to the previous night and how flip-flopped you felt. One second scared out of your mind, and now after today completely confused because he seemed to care about you.
