So after I graduated we took a few pictures with my parents and you could visibly see how badly I wanted to run away from here on my face.
I could not take my eyes off of Luca because I've never seen him dressed so seriously before. My parents knew that we attended the same school but apparently Kylie had no idea and she was pissed about it for some reason.
Alexandra came up to me and said hi along with her mother which stressed me more than it should.
"Leave your window unlocked," Luca mumbled as he gazed over my face and I nodded. I tried to look like I was in pain next to him but I couldn't help but radiate the happiness I felt.
"You better fucking take advantage of it before it ends Cassia. I'm going to make dad hate him." Kylie leaned onto my side in the car and I bit my bottom lip from fury.
She's not taking this from me.
"Go ahead and try Kylie but let me warn you... If you manage to break us apart I won't put up with any of your bullshit anymore," I whispered with a wink and a small smile.
"Just wait till we reach the fucking house." She challenged me back with a smile that matched mine.
How could I've been so blind all this time?
Where has being the good girl got me?
It made me have good grades and anxiety for everything I did. I agreed with my parents when they put me down because I thought that I was a worthless piece of shit but not anymore...
No, not anymore.
I'm leaving tonight whether they like it or not.
I had money saved up so that even if Luca doesn't want me running away with him, I could have a backup plan.
No more damsel in distress Cassia.
The drive home became tenser and tenser as time passed and I could feel the built up in my chest of anger.
I'm leaving.
No matter what.
I'm not going to live my life according to them. If I don't want to go to college I won't. There are other ways to get a job and I have enough money saved up to rent a place.
I didn't realize that I was chewing on my lip till I tasted the metallic blood. I sucked on my lip and grabbed my small purse before getting out of the car once it was parked.
I took a deep breath, preparing myself for the worst. "Dad." I stopped in my tracks when I heard Kaylie call out and bit my lip again before hurrying upstairs.
If telling my secrets to my father is the best stunt she can pull then okay.
Two can play that game.
I packed as much as I could and sighed before pushing my hair away from my face. I didn't have much stuff to pack, to be honest. But there were still a few bags. I could call Luca and ask for help. I don't think he'd have a problem with it.
I just texted him a 'be here quick' and heart shouting from downstairs which made me flinch. They're going to hurt me.
The yelling became more violent and vicious as I heard my name coming from downstairs.
How stupid of me to think that they would just let me leave.
So so stupid.
They're going to kill me.
