After taking every precaution she could think of Zoë had been able to find and secure a comfortable apartment in the upper East side of New York, as well as orchestrate a plan to contact a few scientists she had been working with that weren't loyal to Hydra or SHIELD. Zoë enjoyed seeing her mother with Luvich, it seemed they had gotten a lot closer these past couple years, though they attempted - badly - to hide their affections towards each other around Zoë. Most likely out of respect, they worried she wouldn't approve because of how close she had been to her father. Of course she absolutely approved and she planned to tell them but only when it stopped being so funny.

Throughout the weeks she continued to draw information where she could, there was little she could do without her lab but she knew, in time, what she needed would come to her. She also caused trouble for Hydra in any way that she could without being traced while she waited for the final penny to drop.

Every night without fail, Zoë's God would hold her. Telling her wonderful stories about the other realms and his adventures trying to find her. Even though she knew these were dreams and her God wasn't truly coming, it was still something she looked forward to every night.

As Zoë typed away on her computer her phone began to ring.

She scowled dubiously at the object before hitting answer "How did you get this number?" She asked.

"Miss Knelbeg, I believe you are to thank for the tip on the information recovered from our hostaged ship" a deep voice sounded from the receiver.

Fury.

The seeds she planted had sprouted beautifully into spirals of chaos throughout D.C. "Its Dr. Knelbeg and it took you long enough, I was expecting this call weeks ago" she corrected sitting back in her desk chair.

"My apologies doctor, I was otherwise occupied pulling two slugs from my chest" he replied.

"Ouch, so starting to see the bigger picture, huh?" She asked.

He laughed into the phone "Yeah, we need you here. You seem to be the only one that knows the ins and outs on how to take this down" he confessed.

"I have two conditions" Zoë began, she knew exactly how she wanted to negotiate this. She had planned it from the moment she decided to take down Hydra. "I get to be the one to kill Pierce" she stated.

"And the other condition?" He asked.

"I want to punch Steve Rogers in the face" Well she wanted to do a hell of a lot more than that but a punch would suffice for now.

Fury laughed harder this time causing him to cough and swear under his breath "Done, I will have Agent Hill pick you up from the airport" he agreed.

Zoë grinned "See you in 5" she parted before hanging up and closing her laptop. She quickly organised the flight on her phone while packing her bag. She walked into the living area to see Luvich quickly moving to the other side of the couch. He and her mother had been cuddled up evidently.

She laughed and shook her head "Alright I was going to wait till it stopped being funny but I have a mission so there's no time now. You two are terrible liars for ex-Hydra operatives" she jested as her chuckles slowed. "I love you both and I want you both to be happy so please stop being ridiculous, Luvich go back to cuddling with mother" she finished.

Claudia stood however "Wait wait wait, what do you mean you have a mission?" She asked, her tone worried as she approached her daughter.

"Just a little justice that needs to be served, don't worry I shouldn't be gone long" Zoë explained, trying not to laugh at the still shocked look that was plastered on Luvich's face.
