"Every social media is blowing up with your speech, people are loving you kiddo" Tony announced with a laugh, tapping away on his phone as the four of them sat in the limousine riding back to the tower.
Zoë smiled a little "I'm just relieved I didn't accidentally say something wrong" she admitted.
Steve shook his head, beaming proudly "You were incredible, someone for people to look up to" he praised.
Sam chuckled "Metaphorically speaking of course, cause you're tiny" he joked.
Zoë laughed and playfully nudged him "Shut up, bird brain" she teased.
Tony placed his phone back down and chuckled "Seriously kid, you're everyone's new favourite super hero and they haven't even seen you fight yet" he told her.
Her cheeks flushed and she shook her head "I thought for sure they'd all hate me" she professed.
Sam shook his head "Tom was right about your terrible habit" he mused "I'm glad you agreed to therapy" he added, giving her a look of genuine concern.
Zoë sighed and nodded "I hope you all realise I only agreed to it for you" she told them.
Steve nodded "And we're grateful kid" he replied.
Soon they arrived back at the tower and the four of them rode in the elevator up to the living quarters. "The party is being held on the floor just below this one so when you're ready just make your way down" Tony explained when they branched off to their own bedrooms.
Zoë quickly pulled off her suit, it was less complicated to remove and put on than it looked, and replaced it in her wardrobe before stepping into the green dress she'd been so excited to wear. She couldn't wait for Loki's reaction to it.
She checked her hair and makeup in the mirror and took a deep breath, she could do this. It was much less intimidating than the press conference was and that had gone better than anyone could have hoped so this should be a piece of cake.
With that thought in mind she slipped on the matching gold heals she had bought for the occasion and left her bedroom. She rode down in the elevator and smiled when she saw Pepper waiting for her.
"I'm so proud of you! Everyone is, we all watched the press event and you were amazing!" She gushed, racing forwards and taking the German's hands in hers.
Zoë blushed and smiled widely "Thank you, Pepper. Is everyone already here?" She asked.
She nodded "They're all waiting by the bar to meet you" she confirmed.
Zoë took a deep breath and tucked some hair behind her ear "Do I look okay?" She questioned, nervous as hell.
Pepper smiled at her "You look gorgeous, Zoë" she confirmed "are you ready?" She asked.
Zoë smiled and nodded "Ready as I'll ever be" she replied, she wondered when Loki would get here.
Pepper lead the blonde out of the elevator and through the crowded room filled with people laughing and drinking and talking among themselves. They descended a set of stairs and then they were stood before the entire team of heroes.
"Odin's breath you guys weren't kidding, she's stunning" the tall blonde man boomed with a deep laugh.
Zoë grinned, her cheeks flushed at the complement and shook her head "I'm going to take a wild guess and say you're Thor?" She asked.
The man nodded "Heard of my mighty victories and unparalleled good looks?" He wondered.
Zoë chuckled "Tony described you as a big blonde guy with a god complex, you're a pretty accurate fit to that" she explained.
