Randomly and without cause, some of your possessions will switch with something of your soulmates.

You sit at your desk, typing away at your computer. Unfortunately, you had left your essay that was assigned in English until the day before it was due, and now you had practically no choice but to shut your door, turn off your phone, and grind the paper out. You glance back at the outline you had made for yourself, realizing quickly that the quotes you selected didn't work at all with your thesis.

You throw your head back with a groan. Now, you needed to redo your entire outline, which would probably take another hour. Pushing your laptop away, you stand up from your seat. Oftentimes you found that when the stress of school built up, the best possible way to relieve it was to take a break.

"Daichi," You whine while walking down the stairs of your house, "Do we have any of the banana bread that mom brought home, or did you eat it all?"

You see him sitting on the couch with a slightly guilty look on his face, beside him, was his best friend, and practically your brother, Sugawara. "I didn't know that you wanted any," He says slowly.

Suga chuckles and holds up a brown paper bag, "I brought some muffins, want one?"

Cheering, you race over and fish out one of the baked goods from inside the bag. "Thanks Koushi!" You crash down onto the couch next to your brother and take a bite of the muffin. Your eyes widen upon tasting, "These are delicious," You moan with your mouth full.

"You should at least swallow before speaking," Sugawara chuckles. "I got them from the new bakery that opened up down the street."

You hum and continue to chow down on the muffin. Once only a few crumbs were left in the wrapper, you stand up and stretch your arms widely. "It's been lovely, but I have an essay to finish," You say and give them both a wave, while they murmur back a quick 'bye.'

Marching back upstairs you open up the door to your room and crash back down onto your desk chair. But, instead of being met with the bright screen of a laptop as you had expected, a yellow banana sits in its place.

In a world where objects randomly and without warning got replaced with another, occurrences like this weren't uncommon. But, usually, it was something simple like a pencil or a water bottle, certainly not an overly expensive computer switching with an afternoon snack.

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!" You scream while shooting up from your chair.

"You ok?" Sugawara calls from upstairs.

You race back downstairs, banana in your hand. "Just now, at this moment, I HATE my soulmate!"

Daichi's eyebrows knit together, "What exactly is it that happened?"

"My laptop got swapped with this," You hold up the fruit, "Now I can't finish my fucking essay!"

Sugawara breaks into laughter at your angered state, "Well, as far as excuses go, I'd say that's a pretty good one."

Groaning, you lay the banana on the table. "At the very least, they better not go snooping through my laptop."

I wait for a few rings, my foot bouncing anxiously in the process before he finally picks up. "Hey Akaashi," Bokuto draws out my name. "What's up."

I look at the laptop in front of me that had appeared in place of my post-practice snack after I went to the bathroom. At first, I was puzzled and assumed I would just put it in the box of trinkets and possessions that belonged to her. But, after turning the device on, I saw a name on the password screen. {Y/N} Sawamura.
