Changmin headed through the vast woods toward his hidden bunker when he came upon a young couple heading the opposite way.

"Sir, you can't go that way." The young man told him as he and, who was likely, his girlfriend, strolled passed him.

"Why?" Changmin questioned.

The young couple stopped for a moment to respond, "Don't know exactly," the guy said with a shrug of his shoulders, " but there's a police officer, or detective, or whatever down there sending anyone heading down that way back. I think it might be a crime scene, though he didn't say so."

The female nodded, "It's definitely a crime scene." She suddenly gasped and grabbed her boyfriend's arm, "What if they found a dead body?"

"I'm sure it's nothing more than a hiker who got lost, or went into the restricted areas, and managed to injure themselves. Sending people away was probably just a precaution." Changmin assured.

The couple nodded as they continued on their way.

Changmin watched them walk away for a moment before turning in the direction they had come, his current destination, then quickly turned around.

They must've found the boy, or at least his general location.

But how?

The boy was a police officer, maybe they were able to eventually track him somehow. Still, just because they found the location, doesn't mean they found the bunker, or the boy.

He backtracked a bit before cutting through a denser part of the surrounding wood and around the other side of the mountain that housed his hidden bunker. If he couldn't go through the front, then he'd go through the back.

They were not taking his princess from him, not yet.

Three guys were mountain biking down the trail, when one of them suddenly stopped, bringing his friends up short as well.

"What is it, why'd you stop?"

"Thought I saw something..." he said distractedly as he searched the dense forest for a telltale sign of what he had seen only seconds ago.

"What was it," One of the others asked as they too began to scan the surrounding area, "was it a wild animal?"

"I don't think so...," The quick silvery flash he'd seen earlier had caught his eyes again, "oh shit," he said as he was finally able to register what he was seeing, sunlight glinting off a knife blade, a big knife blade.

"Namjoon, what's going on down there?" Yoongi radioed as he hadn't heard from the others since warning them of Changmins return.

"We found Jungkook, he's being kept in an old secret bunker, likely left over from war-times."

"What about Changmin, did you get him?"

"He hasn't shown yet, but when he arrives we'll arrest him."

"What do you mean, he hasn't shown, he headed your way ten to fifteen minutes ago, he should've been there by now."

Suddenly, three mountain bikers skid to a halt beside him and the two detectives, "We saw a guy with some sort of large knife in the woods off the biking trail about five, maybe ten minutes ago," one of the bikers said hurriedly, pointing in the direction they had come.

One of the detectives showed the bikers a photo of Changmin they had taken that day during their surveillance, "Is this the guy you saw?"

The boys nodded, "Yeah, that's him. We didn't see his face, but that's the clothing the guy was wearing."

Detective Kim withdrew his copy of the mountainous area from his coat's inner pocket and, after unfolding it, asked the boys to show them where on the map they had seen Changmin.

"Here," one said, pointing in an area opposite the search party, his friends nodding in agreement, " he was heading this way," he continues, tracing his finger toward the base of the mountain.

"Shit," Yoongi swore as he immediately radioed the others as the detectives rushed in the direction the bikers had indicated, calling for backup before they lost service in the thick woods, "Namjoon, Changmin's already there, he came from the back, get them out now!"

Changmin reached the mountain and quietly opened the back entrance of the underground bunker, silently stepping inside as he softly closed the door behind him. He saw a light, and could hear voices inside, his princess's and one other. As he grew closer, he noticed there were in fact, two unknown voices, not just one, as he first believed.

Hidden by the pitch black shadows of the bunker, Changmin watched as one man attempted to free his princess, while the other held up a flashlight to aid in his attempt.

"I almost got it." He heard the man touching his princess mutter just before he lunged quietly but quickly for the man closest to him, the flashlight falling from his hand to the floor.

Hey guys, sorry about the long wait, but I have a good reason...

I live in Texas, so.... there's that, and my internet works when it wants too, that includes the WiFi. I don't know if it's the after effects of the storm, or just my freaking phone or service. As things are getting a bit better, I'll try to update more often💜☺️
