Jungkook entered the home he'd been using as his own since the early stages of the planning for his undercover mission. It was a small, cozy, single story house, perfect for a young, single police officer. He quickly shot off a text to his hyungs in their group chat, informing them he made it home and to say goodnight as he always did, before connecting his phone to the charger plugged in beside the nightstand, then began to strip himself of his uniform, starting with his gun. Removing the weapon from it's holster, he checked to make sure the safety was on, before setting it on the bedside table along with his phone. The cuffs soon followed, then the belt. Accessories out of the way, he made quick work of the uniform itself, draping each article of clothing upon the plush armchair in the corner of the room, before slipping on his robe and heading into the bathroom for a nice, relaxing, shower before bed....
Completely unaware of the eye's watching him.

Morning came. Jimin watched the house for any movement. "Hey, Taehyung," Jimin said, rousing Taehyung from his sleep beside him, "doesn't Jungkook normally open the bedroom curtains by now?"
Taehyung instantly became alert, sitting up in the passenger seat as his eye's locked onto the still closed curtains of the bedroom window. Jungkook always opened the curtains at 7:30 sharp, his signal to the surveillance team across the street that he was up. Taehyung took out his phone, checking the time.
7:35 am.
He opened his phone to his messages.
Nothing.
Jungkook always sends a good morning text through the group chat, but there was nothing.
Something wasn't right.
"I'm calling him." Taehyung told Jimin, hoping the younger had simply overslept. Jimin's phone suddenly rang. He pulled his phone from his pocket, glancing at the caller Id before answering, "Hyung."
"Jimin, what's going on, we didn't receive Jungkook's morning text." Namjoon said over the line.
"Not sure yet-" Jimin was cut off by Taehyung, "He's not answering," he said ending his call, "I'm going in." Taehyung said, opening his door.
"Hyung, Jungkook's not answering Tae's call, we're gonna head over and check it out." Jimin quickly informed Namjoon as he hurried out of the vehicle with Taehyung, who was already making his way across the street.
"Call me immediately with what you find, I'll inform the others."
Got it." Jimin ended the call just as he and Taehyung reached the front door.
Taehyung knocked once, twice. After the third knock went unanswered Taehyung pulled out his spare key and unlocked the door.
"Jungkook." Taehyung called out as he and Jimin stepped into the house. They shared a quick look at each other before drawing their weapons and slowly moved through the small home to the bedroom.
Agent Park and Kim flanked the bedroom door, guns at the ready. Taehyung reached out and knocked on the door, "Jungkook." he called out. No response. He shared another look with Jimin, who nodded, before reaching out for the door knob. Twisting the knob slowly, Taehyung carefully popped the unlocked door free of the hardware that held it closed, then quickly withdrew his hand, both he and Jimin waiting and listening for any movement from inside. Nothing. Taehyung silently motioned for Jimin to push the door open as he clicked off the safety of his gun and prepared to storm the room. Jimin did a silent countdown from three before essentially throwing the door open, Taehyung rushing in in a crouched position, Jimin at his back.
The room was empty.
The bed looked slept in, and Jungkook's phone still sat on the nightstand. His gun, cuffs, and badge were also still present. Jimin peeked inside the master bathroom's open door only to find it was also empty.
"He's gone...."
Jimin pulled his phone from his pocket, immediately placing a call to Namjoon.
The line rang only once before it was picked up, "Jimin, what's going on?"
"Hyung, he's gone, Jungkook's gone."

He's so beautiful, even in sleep.
So beautiful.
And now, he was his.
