Tommy had to stay in the hospital for another week for observation. Just to make sure he doesn't have another brain bleed. It was the day before he leaves and he wanted Scarlett to bring Myles and Bella in. Scarlett had business meetings and paperwork to get done before she could go. She was sitting in her office and waiting for her last meeting of the day. It was with Greta and her family, so you know she was dreading it. Scarlett went over the numbers and grabbed the file as she walked out into main room. They were supposed to be there by now, but they weren't. The phone rang and it was Stefano saying they would be ten minutes late. Right after that, Greta busted through the door with a gun pointed at Scarlett. "You killed my fucking sister." She screamed. "Yeah, and I'll kill you too if you don't get that gun out of my face." Greta walked closer and had it right between Scarlett's eyes. "I'm the one with the gun." Greta said. Her hand shook as she pressed the gun into Scarlett's skin. Scarlett was a good read. She could tell if someone was about to pull the trigger or not. Scarlett stood there looking unbothered and it made Greta even more mad. Her father and brother busted through the door. "Greta. Stop!" Stefano yelled. "Put the gun down. They will kill us all." Marco yelled. "I'm not scared of Tommy." "It's not him you have to worry about. Do you know who she was before she married him?" Marco said. Greta looked back at her brother quickly. "A Capone. She's Al Capone's daughter. The leader of the fucking New York Mafia. They will all come after us and you've heard the stories." Stefano said. Greta smirked. "Taking down the leader of the mafia...I would love to be the one to do it." "Then do it." Scarlett said. "Pull the fucking trigger." "No! Greta don't!" Her father yelled. "Do it." Scarlett said. She knew that everyone yelling at Greta to do something would overwhelm her. "Come on. Do it." Scarlett yelled. "Greta don't!" "No, Greta!" Everyone was screaming at her and she closed her eyes really hard. Her hand was shaking bad as she took a step back. The gun went off and everyone ducked. Scarlett stood up and turned around to see the bullet hole in the wall. She jerked the gun out of Greta's hand and put her in a chokehold as she pressed the gun to her temple. Scarlett smiled. "That's all I needed. Her to fire that gun at me. That's all I takes with me." Scarlett took out her knife and marked her cheek as she screamed. Stefano and Marco had wide eyes. They knew it was going to happen. "Get her under control or I will." Scarlett said as she forcefully let go of Greta. They pulled Greta out and Scarlett cleaned her knife. She made sure she had no blood on her. Scarlett grabbed Tommy's blazer that was left in his office because it's always cold in the hospital.

She walked over to Ada's and grabbed her children. Everyone was going to the hospital, so they all walked together. "I heard a gunshot...was that you?" Arthur asked. "No, Greta came in and tried to shoot me." She said casually. They all stopped and looked at her. "Just wait until our next business meeting." Scarlett smirked and then walked on. She got to the hospital and had Myles in her arm and Bella holding her other hand. They got to the room and Bella's face lit up. "Daddy!" She walked over and stood beside the bed as she looked at him. "You can get up there...you just have to be careful." Scarlett said. Bella climbed up and hugged him. "I missed you, daddy." "I missed you too." He said and then kissed her cheek. "I'm coming home tomorrow." He added. "Then I can show you my new trick in the pool!" She said. He smiled as she sat beside him and he put his arm around her. He grabbed Scarlett's hand and made her sit on the bed. Tommy ran his hand over her knee where she had a pretty bad bruise. "What is this from?" She looked down and made a weird expression. "I'm not sure. I didn't even know it was there. I probably just hit it on something." Myles made a baby noise and everyone smiled. He reached for his dad and Tommy held him with his free hand. "How do you feel today?" She asked. "I feel good right now." "And the pain?" "They gave me something for it....I'm just ready to be home." She smiled. "Everyone is here, but I didn't know if you'd want to see them." "I guess I will." He joked. She leaned over and kissed him and then walked out. Tommy looked at his two kids. "You two know you have the best mommy ever...and the prettiest." Bella smiled and leaned her head on him. Scarlett walked back in with Arthur, Polly, and Ada. She had to break the news to him about Finn earlier in the week and it was rough. Scarlett let Polly sit in the chair beside the bed. They all talked for a while. Bella fell asleep with her head rested on Tommy. Myles started crying, so Scarlett took him and walked out. "How is she?" Tommy asked. "You're either born an oak or a willow and she was born as both. She stands tall and strong like an oak. A willows branches bend and bend during a storm and never break, just like her. She hasn't stopped since it all happened. Her first priority are the kids. She takes care of them and then she's been running the whole business by herself because we haven't been any help and when she's not dealing with either two..she's been here with you." Polly said. "You'd never know how much she's doing all on her own because she just smiles and keeps going. I've never seen anything like it. You can see it in her eyes how sad she is, but she doesn't show it." Ada said. "She's a fucking trooper, Tom." Arthur said. Scarlett walked back in and Polly started to get up to give her the chair. Scarlett put her hand on Polly's shoulder. "No, it's okay. You sit." Tommy looked at his wife and just marveled in her strength. She kissed Myles on the cheek as she leaned against the wall. "Can I have a moment with Scarlett?" Tommy asked. Everyone nodded and left the family of four. Tommy put out his hand and she took it as she sat back down on the bed. He ran his hand over her face. "Have you taken a break from all of this?" "Yeah." She smiled. He ran his thumb over her jaw. "Scar." She could never lie to him because he knew. "I'm fine. The business is great and the kids are okay....and you are healing. That's all that matters." "I know you've been doing everything. Polly told me and I'm not happy with them." "Don't be mad at them. They have a lot going on." "So do you. You're working yourself to death. I know you better than anyone and I can see it in your eyes, Scarlett." She took a deep breath. "I'll admit...this has been the hardest three weeks of my life, but we've gotten through it. Like we always do. I've had moments where I just wanted to fall apart, but I know that I can't. There are times when I just want to give up and crawl into bed and never come out, but that's not an option. That's not who I am...that's not who we are and I knew that everyday I got up....was one more day closer to you waking up and how could I give up when you've done nothing but fight." Tommy lightly shook his head and pulled her in for a kiss. "I love you." She said. "And I love you." She smiled and looked at her kids. Tommy's whole demeanor and facial expression changed. He gripped her arm, but wasn't looking at her. "Scarlett." "What is it Tommy? Are you okay?" "Go get the doctor." "What?" "I'm having another brain bleed. I...I can't see. I can't see." She quickly got up and ran out as she yelled for the doctor. The Shelby's watched her and they ran in the room. "Tommy." Ada said. Arthur grabbed Bella and she woke up. The doctor came running in with Scarlett behind him. He shined a flashlight in Tommy's eyes. "His pupils are blown. He's hemorrhaging." The doctor and a few nurses started to wheel Tommy out of the room. Bella reached out her hand. "Daddy." She screamed. Arthur put his hand on the back of her head. "It's okay, Bella." He whispered. She cried into his shoulder. They all looked at Scarlett. She had her free hand on her head as she stared out the door. "It's not fair....it's not fucking fair." She whispered. She started to break down and then she turned around to see everyone looking at her and she stopped. Arthur set Bella down and she ran to her mom. Scarlett bent down and hugged her. A single tear ran down Scarlett's face. "It's not fair." She whispered.
